I would not suggest making them this size. I would insist upon making them at least twice this size and then scaling them down. The quality is much better that way.

Don't believe me, check my dA. 4.75 is 342, not 1425. Maybe at 300 px, but most designers do it at 72. Doing it at 300 is unnecessary and does very little to improve quality. Not to mention most people's computers can't handle that size.

look man i dont know how u print on ur lil computer at ur house..but i work with miami kaos in designing mixtape covers,posters,flyers and lots of shit..i know wat sizes to make..i made blu chips album art which will hit ALL STORES..i doubt that a whole printing company would print the wrong sizes for a album after i gave them the design

I've never even heard of Blu Chips, but it's whatever. I'm not going to hate because you're doing your thing. Either way, don't act like you're the only one on here that sells shit. I'm not some rookie who has no idea what I'm talking about. Given, I'm not the best. No where near it in fact. I still have a little bit of knowledge when it comes to imagry. I've done alot more than CD Covers. I do game textures, skinning, poster design, web design, logo design. I also make alot of my own brushes. Almost all the rest that I use are copyrighted to my company and were made by someone in the company.

look i aint tryna point out u a rookie and i dont care about wat u do in deisgning and wat u said doesnt impress me...im saying about 95% of the time ive sold print designs..they have asked for 300 resolution..excluding one magazine ad i did where they wanted 288 or some shit...point is if u plan on making good money in graphics u better get used to doing 300 resolution on most things..if a 300 resolution cd cover is too big for ur computer wait till someone asks for a 18x28 wall poster which i guarantee will have to be done at 300 reoslution....it is very neccessary...if it wasnt..gettyimages would be out of business selling the full resolution images and wouldnt give out the small images

Truth is, Young Kas is right. 300dpi is better than 72 dpi in quality (Dpi= dots per inch) which means more ink dots per inch on you print out. Im doing an album cover that is being printed out by princton disc. The size they sent me was 4.75x.475, it huge....

Also your whole thing with bruhshes being copyright is bullshit... no ones copyrights brushes

P.S. I know whole lotta real professional graphic designers. DOing travel e-flyers, magazine layouts, freelancing, head of art departments, running printing places. They all told me 300 is theee resolution in DPI for any print, period.

nice cd template alittle small but nice. but if you have to resize before you can use it it you are better off making your own. then posting it in another thread titled something like" Real CD Cover Template (F/B No resize needed!!!)".

yeah i went 1500x1500 when i designed my cd cover and they came back from pressing perfect. i suggest this size

or convert them to a higher resolution (300 is a good res)..They will print the same size but when you work with them you can get WAY better quality

Yeah, let me correct myself on this. This was a long ass time ago. This was in 72 dpi, standard commercial print is 300 dpi.
