50 Cent & Eminem Battle at 07:20 GMT by Denz
Who would have thought Eminem and his protege/artist 50 Cent would ever be engaged in a hip-hop battle? Well, in Canada's 14th Annual MuchMusic Video Awards, the pair are nominated to go head-to-head against one another for the People's Choice Favorite International Artist Award and Best International Video Award.
50 Cent's hit "In Da Club" and Eminem's Oscar winning song "Lose Yourself" are both nominated in the People's Choice Favorite International Artist Award category. Eminem has two entries in the Best International Video column for "Without Me" and "Cleaning Out My Closet with 50 Cent garnering a nod for "In Da Club." The competition will be stiff, as Nelly is also listed in both categories along with several Rock bands.
This year's show marks the first time The MuchMusic Awards allow for the public to vote for the people's choice categories. Voting started May 19th online at http://www.muchmusic.com, by phone at 1-800-226-VOTE, or by cellphone text message to "MuchMusic".
