Yea, the new M5 has a 500hp V10 and the M6 is getting it too. Although when you start it up you only get 400, you have to push a button to turn on all 500hp (which will cost you more feul, that's why they did it like that). Also, the M5 lets you reprogram the engine computer from the dash board. I don't know if the M6 does that too.

Anyway, screw that magazine. If you've been reading Motor Trend you'd know that was old news.

i did, they were mercedes, only mercedes and only in black,my parents have some grudge against bmw...i dont know why they wont go get one..they suck lol..

That's exactly why I hate Mercedes sometimes, everyone sleeps on the competition which for some models is outdoing Mercedes. The Audi A8 beats any Mercedes within 10k of it's price tag.

i know, thats why i fell on my head..i dont like mercedes any more...everyone has one..its too easy to get now and days..i want something everyone doesnt have..I try to stress that too them...and they say "well we are the only ones in arlington with a S something something" their trying to get that 2 seater with the doors..dont know what its called..dont care either..

id rather them have that big ass rhino lookin m6 lol..but you know what, in dallas, everyone has that car..and every other bmw..smh...:(

what do you think about the Range Rover??

I'm not too into trucks although I do respect the Land Rover's for their history and continued off road capability. I'm mad that Ford owns them now but they did get a few BMW engines out of the deal (BMW sold it to Ford, though I'm not sure if the engine deal has ran out yet) and Ford has been doing an good job letting the right people handle the styling and interior design. Plus, they also released a reasonbly fast one that's supercharged. I'd ride in that any day.

If your parents are going for the Mercedes McLauren SLR though, that is a very nice car that few people have and it is unique. I forgot the price on that thing though, but I know it's insane.

yeah I read about something similar to this in Car & Driver Magazine, like they said that one of the cars BMW made had only 240 horses in it, and the Mercedes Benz had 330, and some other car had 350, and another had 390. It's good that BMW stepped theyre game up with horsepower.

Mercedes twin turbo's their V12's there is no horsepower race, that thing is won. Although you do have to pay for those engines, both at the dealership and the gas station. They burn green just as easily as they smoke rubber. Which is exactly why they are the flashier choice and thus the only choice for the majority of American's who can afford them. BMW's still have superior engineering, much better handeling feel, and a better tuned chassis. Although the I-Drive is a problem for some and it wasn't too well thought out. You have to go through menus just to mess with the radio. Bad idea. Not all BMW's have it though.
