Yeah, just another idea to maybe make the site better... nothin drastic...

How bout we add a child forum into the General Discussion forum, this subforum will be called "Serious Business" or whatever. It will be for only serious discussion. Examples of topics could be "Theories on God" or "The War on Terrorism" etc. you know ......

You could make some good mods to enforce the rules too.

For example, to keep the discussion serious, you could ban rookies off the site for making shitty threads in the Serious section. But if someone more known like X-Quiz etc. thats known to joke freeposts in the SD forum, than you can simply temporarily ban them from the SD forum. This way, people who freepost don't have to be banned from the site, but they can be temporarily/permanently banned from the Serious Discussion forum, to sustain the Serious Discussion.

I thought this might be a godd idea cuz a lotta good threads turn into bullshit when people freepost and joke around in them. I aint trying to be some Serious Discussion Only Nazi, but RW could use one since a lotta heads on this site like to express themselves and all.

^^^^^I may be a smart ass, but your a stupid llama.....

General Discussion clearly means 'general' topics, as in misc. topics. It means nothing 'specific.'

Now you're telling me that General means Serious? This aint the army, you fat lard.

Dont pay much attention to Danijela. She is responding because of personal issues. I will not outline them, because, at the moment, they are unimportant. But just know she does not contest the idea, she contest the implications. Hope you understand what I mean.

I gotta agree with Queeny, i'm 50/50 on this. It's needed somehow in that it encourages a wider audience and thus you get your views across to more people however it also leaves it open to freeposting and unwanted posts.

How can there be a suggestion that a forum designed to promote serious, intellectual thought, can be a waste?

we've talked about it and i honestly think it should be a sub forum of GD if it happens... i myself have got to the point i don't care to discuss much of anything anymore, but why take that away from those who do? i have no idea where danijella is coming from, but she's entitled to her opinion...
