The Whole Week Went Through As Always. I Got Various Stares As I Walked Through The Congested Halls Of My Overpopulated High School. There Was A Lot Of Fights Throughout The Week. It Was Always Like That, And I Never Understood Why People Couldn’t Agree Together.

The Week Ended, And I Sat At Home. I Waited For Sunday To Come, And When It Did, I Went To The House By The Rec Station. I Knew The House They Were Talking About. It Was A Brown Beat Up Two Story Appartment A Half Of Block Down. I Always Seen People Walking In And Out Of There, And They Always Looked Like Some Bummed Out Skin Heads.

I Walked Into The Apartment, And Seen A Few Older People Smoking Cigarettes. They Were Just Kicking Back On The Steps Having A Chat. I Walked To The Side, And One Guy In A Green Army Jacket Pointed Up The Stairwell.

I Began To Walk Up The Stairwell, And Came To The Second Story. I Walked Over To A Half Open Door, And Was Greeted By A Fat Bald Man In A Brown Vest. He Looked Very Rough, Like He Had Never Heard Of Shaving. He Opened The Door Some More, And Then Waved Me In.

When I Walked In, The Room Had A Strong Odor Of Whisky, And There Was Black Shades On The Windows. There Was A Card Table Set Up In The Corner Of The Room Where The Four People That Had Helped Me Were Playing Poker. Then A Guy Came Up Behind Me And Tapped My Shoulder. He Escorted Me To The Back Room.

When I Got Into The Back Room, It Looked Like A Good Place To Start World War Three, There Was An Arsenal Of Guns And Missiles In The Corner Of The Room, And There Was A Nazi Flag Hanging Above The Bed. The Man That Was Sitting On The Bed Seemed To Be Their Main Guy. The Man That Called All The Shots. He Extended His Hand To Me, And Introduced Himself. “ My Name Is Ian”.

I Shook His Hand As He Continued To Talk. “I Heard About The Problem You Had With Those Monkeys The Other Night.” I Sat Back And Just Nodded My Head As To Listen To Him, But I Wasn’t Really Trying To Get Too Involved, Because I Knew Where He Was Going With This.

He Continued To Talk About What Could Have Happened That Night. “My Boys Are Good People, And They’re Very Loyal. If You Need Anything They Got You”. He Leaned Back Into His Chair Some More, And Drank From His Mug.

“There’s Many Dangerous Things In Soceity Today, And Different Races Are One.” He Looked Very Confident In What He Was Saying So I Began To Listen For A Second. “We Own This Land, And It’s Getting Taken Away From Us. If You Don’t Believe Me, Look At Where You Live.” He Slammed His Hand Onto The Table In Quite A Rage. “ This Was All White Man’s World, Before Slavery Ended, And Now All Your Monkeys And Sand Niggers Are Taking Over.”
I Didn’t Want To Tell Him That I Thought His Train Of Thought Was Ridiculous, So I Just Acted Like I Was Buying Into His Whole Perfect Plot For Civilization. After Ian Talked For A While Longer, He Handed Me A Beer, And Then Started Talking To Another Guy In The Room.

I Was Feeling Tired, So I Began To Walk Home. This Time I Carried My Old Mans Switchblade, Just Incase I Needed Help. The Blade Had Been My Grandfather’s, And It Was Kind Of Dull, But It Still Could Get The Job Done. If My Dad Knew I Had It, I Would Have Gotten My Ass Whooped, But He Was Probably Passed Out In His Bed With A Beer In His Hand.

After I Got Home, I Put The Knife Back. I Slipped Into The Bed, And I Started To Fall Asleep. I Don’t Quite Remember What Happened That Night, But I Had A Crazy Nightmare. Something That Woke Me Up In A Cold Sweat. I Remember Ian Being A Big Part Of The Nightmare. I Couldn’t Really Sit Up And Think About It, So I Just Went Back To Bed, Or Tried To At Least.
