well MF Doom is a very interesting, complicated underground cat. I suggest if you want some info on him that you do the research, its impossible to describe quickly.

Basically hes a weird dude, the MF stands for Metal-Faced, and his whole persona is based on like cartoon characters. he has several aliases, including King Geedorah and Viktor Vaughn.

In total, with his solo albums, solo albums from his aliases, and combined efforts with MF Grimm, Danger Mouse, and others, he has like 16 albums. I own most of them, i dont have 1 or 2 of them. A lot of his albums are just straight instrumental albums.

His style is strange too, but many people like him. Because of the massive amount of shit he puts out, hes considered the top underground rapper of late basically. however i cant stand his shit, i just have all his albums downloaded for collection purposes. the only stuff i can listen to is some of his beat instrumentals, Operation Doomsday, MM Food, and Dangerdoom.

overall i dont like mf doom, i just have all his music because of his great popularity and i need to hear it to evaluate. however, i rarely, if ever bump any of his shit

lol that is true, he has that same type of personality as Keith in his raps, but more child-friendly-like rather than gross, bathroom humor. Doom may have adapted a style from Kool Keith, either way i don't like either of them but i have a lot of both's music and i definitely respect Keith more

I have Madvilliny and Vaudeville Villian, and both are fuckin wack as hell. On madvillin the beats were horrible and the lyrics were corny, he sometimes raps so quietly you cant hear him and some of the words he says are either rediculous or not even real words.

I'm sorta addicted to his music right now.

I think basically, he goes into the studio, smokes a shit load (and I mean a lot) of weed and makes brilliant albums. It's really hard to describe to you how much I love his music.

i try to get away from the useless noobs, but i noticed early on that this forum has weak writing and battle sections, so i started off in my first month battling, i was 4-1 or 5-1, i dont remember and at this point dont care..

i realized that it takes weeks just to get votes on battles, and if its a noob battle, vets dont pay any attention. so from there i looked around and saw that as a trend and stopped writing/battling.. occassionally i still peep the sections, but i dont drop anything... maybe i'll get back to it sometime

probably those that critize mf doom here are not used to the underground..cos i hated mf doom at first..when my ears were 50 cent sheit..cos his flow was irritating..

That's just the point though. Still with 3 albums from his gigantic repetoire, I'm still blown away. Just think if I had heard all of them. I'd probably end up being a hermit and starting my own cult. Plus, there's no way I could get my hands on all of em. Where I live, it's pretty slim pickins' as far as music goes.

After his Brother got run over. Zevlove cut himself off from everyone and when Electra wouldnt release 'Black Bastards' coz of the cover art he disappeared from the scene altogether to 'recover from his wounds' and seeking revenge on the industry that he said wounded him so badly.

About 5 years later he then resurfaced as MF Doom and I guess the mask is to cover 'his wounds'.

I like him. Definetely one of my favorite rappers out now.
