Here's an easy one.

Find the Square Roots of the following numbers.

100
64
81
16
-1

PWNED.

Uhm...

10
8
9
4
-1 doesn't have a square root does it...?

How about this....

Y=3 X=4

2x+7y = 9x+15y

How about this....

Y=3 X=4

2x+7y = 9x+15yShouldn't you be asking us to find x and y???

And i can't remember if the square root of -1 is 1 or 0.

WHAT?! 5AS? Damn... What GCSE grades did you get? You'll be better than me if you're doing Further Maths... :(... I didn't do it because my college would only let me do 4 AS! Smh! BUT... I'll own you in Eng Lit. :cool: But, ye, good luck with it.

f(x)=x^3+4x^2-11x+6

factorise f(x) completly and hence solve the equation.

and sod off if i annoy people :p my further maths AS is spread over 2 years so im only taking 4.5 AS levels (or 5.5 including general studies)

Aura

Actually no... You'd have to combine the like terms to get the answer to my question... I forgot what I typed, lol.. but an example of the answer would be:

42y=22x

That's basically all you can do..

Yall need to put me on to that shit... We need to get like a tutorial forum going or something... That'll change the history of rap boards..

.Inphinite.
11-09-2005, 06:46 PM
f(x)=x^3+4x^2-11x+6
f(1) = 1^3 + (4x1)^2 - (11x1) + 6
= 1 + 4 - 11 + 6
= 0 so therefore (x-1) is a factor.

Then I just did long division because it's easier and Im not going to post it... but the answer is (x-1)(x+6)(x-1) so x = 1, 1 and -6.
