Left school in 2000, started doing my AS Levels at college (PE, Business Admin, Sociology, English Literature & General Studies <--whatever the hell that was meant to be, went one lesson then sacked it. Got kicked outta college early 2001 for poor attendance and missing an English exam. Went in n out of a few shitty jobs, including a record "second day sacking"! Then I got on one of those modern apprenticeships doing business admin, got sacked from my placement after about 6 months but carried on the course at college 1 day a week. Got a temp job doing the most soul destroying job known to man, fucked that off and got a temporary job where Im working now, got my NVQ Level 2 in business admin from college and got took on permanent at the place Im at. It's been a turbulent 5 years since I left school

Well I finished secondry school in the UK - and did reasonably well, only to be royally fucked over by some bullshit beaurocratic motherfuckers and have to do 2 years in an American High School. Yankee bastards :(

I'll probably go on and get a BA in drafting at a vocational college, but everyone else wants me to go to a CSU or a UC

I'm in year 13 technically but i decided to drop myself back a year and retake 3 AS's and 1 A level. Might go to University at the end of this year, probably in Kent or East London. Or maybe Kingston if i do better than expected.

Amen. I went to the lesson a few times and haven't been since last crimbo. And apparently i'm still on the register. Oh yeah, and i didn't turn up to the exam and got NO RESULT. Now most people have to pay £15 to get their grade declined because it makes their uni application look bad. Should have followed my example.

That's the thing that fucks me off over here, you fuck yourself over by trying to pass exams n that, then you get fucked over by being told that exams are too easy, then you get fucked over by not geting into university. Then you finish up getting a mediocre degree in the course you didn't want to do at the uni you didn't want to go, then you get fucked over once more for being unemployed, then you get fucked over because you have to pay back heavy debts (because you got fucked over by not getting the full grant), then you get fucked over because the goverment change tyhe whole pension scheme, then you have to work until you're seventy. Fucking Labour.

Not so much poor standars (although that is part of it) but mainly becasue of how they go about doing things. Saly like in maths. The way they are tought here is they are given the solution, and just have to substitute the numbers and shit, but back in the UK we were given the numbers and had to find the solutions ourselves, if you get what I'm saying. I'd say Science is a little harder here, but that's because there are a shit load of formulas to learn mainly, and I can understand why some of the the other kids in my chem class last year found it hard because we were toght some of the stuff at GCSE level over a few years, while they have to learn alot in just the span of one school year.
