So for an Essay I gotta do for English, I gotta talk about who represents what's good in society, and who represent's what is evil in society....and I am stuck at odds ends on who to do for what. If it isn't any bother to any of you, could you please make some suggestions.

I was thinking about doing Hugo Chavez for what's good, but I don't think I'm clued up enough to focus on him.

Also they have to contemporary figures, so no one from over 10 years ago please.

instead of focusing on people, do it on entitities

no one person is without faults, unless your doing it on the Pope or Mother Teresa

you can do it on Hugo Chavez but your challenging yourself
there is a backlash against him in the US

so going back to what I said.......entitities

you can mention NGOs, non profit organizations, something like Doctors without Borders......how they help out the world, dont discriminate, provide a valuable service, etc.

and then Im sure you can find a evil cooperation easily.....it would be good on your part if you had something thats a direct contrast to what you wrote about thats good.........so Im not sure who opposes Doctors without borders but im sure they have their obstacles / opponents

like dont do.........D.W.B is good and Nike is bad, they got nothing to do with each other
do it like republicans is bad and democrats is good (not true) but point being your contrasting two things that have something in common

another idea would be just to take one person..........and show all the good thigns and show all the bad things about him

for example Pablo Escobar

on one hand he imported cocaine and had his own army
on the other he built entire villages / towns, donated millions to his people and kept them safe

is he good or bad ?

I'm loving that Pablo Escobar idea, but I think I have to focus on the people themselves.

Shit, I wish I read this in my Computer Lit class, then I could have asked the teacher.

What it is is that we just finnished reading "The Canterbury Tales," and what we focussed on was how each character was portrayed (i.e. whether they were riteous or sinners) so from that, we now have to do a reflective essay on which two people in our society (singular people) best portray good and evil. I think I'm gonna stick with Chavez as my representative of riteousness, but I can't put the whole CIA as evil - like I originally wanted to - as its an organization.

you can still do single people within that organization

like the director of the CIA.........all the cocaine curruption and dealings of the CIA, you can pin that down on one man, the head honcho if you do your research and find out who is in charge.......the coke is just one aspect, you can do another on why they gave taliban 92 billion in the last decade, there is nuff stuff you can do, but it will be hard research, its good information to know oneself but i dont know if its worth the effort for a high school project

Only two days to do it in, and I can get the A quite easily with a half assed attempt.

....I'm just gonna call 50 cent the devil, and hope my teacher is a rap-hating conservative.

On that note, I gotta read up on that shit.

I'd rep you again if I could.
