The P.D. is: C^2 = A^2 + B^2
C^2 = 3^2 + 4^2
C^2 = (9) + (16)
C^2 = 25

now...take away the ^2 from both sides

C^2 = 25^2 (or <square root sign here>25)

C = 5

since we on this subject... what's the square root of 576???
