ok so I know that MF Doom is the same guy from MadVillain but is there anyone else in MadVillian, because everytime I see a MadVillain video it's mostly just MF Doom, but shit he's a fly rapper, I first heard him on Gorillaz new album Demon Days on the track November has Come and his slick rhyming blew me away. It will be intersting to hear what kind of musical mayhem him and DJ DangerMouse have gotta up to when Doom and the mouse is realised.

I have got to get me one of those masks, damn it would come in handy for hallowen instead of that crappy old gorilla suit I've had sitting in my closet collecting dust for years.

Gorrilaz aint really a rock band. More of a pseudo-hiphop dark pop group

Madvillainy is a brilliant album.
And there's nothing wrong with liking Gorillaz. Maybe there's no need for them to be in the HipHop section, but surely they should be allowed to be discussed in GD. And the thread was about Madvillain anyway...

BTW, I hope Madvillain comes out with another album.

No joke, that's the very last word I would use to describe him.

Gorillaz are actually just electronic music with the lead singer from Blur as their front man, the whole animated band thing is just a clever marketing tool, but none the less they use alot of great rappers in some of their song and most of them are underground too. Rock band or not when was the last time 50 Cents album featured underground/indie rap or rappers.

Hmm... Hip hop need to experiment like any other genre. Gorillaz surely does that, even though it ain't hip hop, but it's good for the hip hop related artist who is involved. It's fine that you won't listen to them, but saying they can't be mentioned in here ain't ok!

Main subject: MF Doom is REALLY good. And a new album with Madlib (Quasimoto) would be SO good. And a new album with DangerMouse would be good too. Both Madvillainy and DangerDoom are really sweet albums!
