this is my 1st tut...ok...now lets begin:

1.take you're image and duplicate the layer of it
2.Select the bottom layer on the layers palette.then click on filter after on blur and after on radial blur.and use the following options:

3.press CTRL+SHIFT+M to jump to image ready.
4:In image ready you will see the animation palette.
5.Duplicate the frame by pressing the duplicate frame button on the bottom of the animation palette.

6:Click on the new frame you just made on the animation palette and hide the top layer on the layers palette.

7:Now we’re going to select the delay of the frames. To do this,simply click the 0 sec under the frame. Set both frames to 0.2

final result:

...to save it click on File then click on Save Optimized As,and save it as a GIF

Good shit for a rookie with animations, will rep if I can. I've done this before, but I'ma add a few alterations to what you said.


Make frame one regular, and frame two the edited one that's blurred, and then click frame 1 and click the Tween button and put like 15 frames or so. Should look less spastic.


Another thing is to just make the blur a light one like 5 - 8 and then just make it flip between 2 frames wihtout tween.
