Do any y'all recommend a mic, I got a Phillips one at the mo, its aight but I was just wonderin if there is any that are a must have.

Yeah me too. Think its an MDZ100 or something along those lines. Doesnt give the best quality. Lookin to get a better one at a reasonable price if anybody has a suggestion

I jus picked up a Shure PG48 for £35 down town...iono what'd be for u..but its tha same one Oblivion has...im yet to record on it though.

MXL 2001.................works ok, I might upgrade sooner or later.

good dynamic pick: shure sm58, or pg48 if you don't have that much money for an sm58

if you have a pre-amp/mixer and know how to mix, cop a condenser mic. but only if you meet tha above requirements lol

oni has a sure sm58 directly into comp, and his quality is ill - go check it if you haven't yet

shure sm58 is the standard industry dynamic mic...a good buy.

hmmm i picked up the brand new samson co1u condenser usb mic that bi passes the sound card to get rid of feed back and shit and it's got great quality hmm for some reason though it records lower on the right path and i've checked everything but that can be easily fixed with amplification..... it's plug and play also

should only really record tha left path anyway mate - thats what mono is, and should always record in mono

yeah ppl record in mono(nucleosis) but it's bad for u u shoul get rest instead of spitten

well i wudnt use dynamic mics like Shure SM58's to record as your clarity isnt great on it and it isnt professional to use for recording there good ebcause you can bash them about alot and still use them lol, if your gonna record you should use condesor mics its standard, i use rhodes NT1 mix i spent like £200-300 on it and its great quality so if your askin what mics to use to record iw ud reccomend ANY rhodes neumann or AKG condensor mics...

Yer the NT1-A is what ive got i picked it up about a year ago so it might be cheaper lol, yer there good mics and there really warm and your vocals sound smooth and crisp...
