thurz there needs to be some sort of order put down for people to follow for this to work, we tried the mods helping thing that didnt work, we tried letting people put down who they think and that didnt work .......so there needs to be some kind of way to make it work but if you wanna start theese up again this month it needs to be found before you start doing this again....i will help if needed but to be honest i dont think its gonna work cos noone really gives 2 shits about voting any more

yeah this is a good idea..the awards were cool..apart from the retards who couldnt grasp the fact they're not allowed to vote for themselves and ruin it for everyone else.

the mods should come up with nominations...so people can only vote for a certain 5-6 heads in each category

well then that means that i will narrow the awards list so that it only includes important and relevant shit.................

I think it should be split into:

Category 1:
Text Battling, Text Drops, Poetry, Topicals

Category 2:
Audio Battling, Audio Drops

Category 3: Other shit like Best Mod, Biggest Freeposter etc., basically, the less important awards that most people tend to vote on coz they only come here to freepost

Make 3 threads, 1 for each category. That way, you dont get people who only do Audio, leaving Text fields blank, and vice versa. Then only people who actually follow Text activity can vote on Category 1, or just ignore it if they dont. Everyone will vote on Category 3 no doubt, but this way, you wont get people being forced into voting for Text and Audio pieces when they have no clue what is going on in those forums.

we di this aswell, we put the voting threads in the respected forums and this kinda worked except only 2 people voted in poetry

What I mean is, rather than puttin them all in different forums, put all 3 categories in this forum, with links to the various forums so they can check them out if they arent sure.

Example

Say there are 5 text drops nominated by mods for text drop of the month, they should be stickied in Written Rhymes with a special heading (e.g. DOTM Nomination), then put a link to Written Rhymes in the relevant voting thread (in my examples above, the Category 1 thread). This way, even for people who havent been following drops the entire month, they can peep the best works of the month, possibly even leave feed on them, and vote on them based on how they rated them, rather than what everyone else is voting for.

Covert and I did the awards as well as each doing other modding sections, we busted our balls day in and out for the shit and nobody wanted to cooperate so fuck it....I'm willin to help again if needed cuz I know how they generally need to be ran but on real....ppl need to step up cuz the same ones bitching there are no awards are the ones that voted for themselves...
