View Full Version : Whats your favourite album made by a producer
golden_era 01-18-2006, 08:25 PM Rules are he must've produced atleast 90% of the album and rapped on a significant amount of it. For me its either Diamond D - Stunts Blunts and Hip Hop or Main Source - Breaking Atoms.
Probably go for Stunts, Blunts....

i agree ...
Plug Zero 01-19-2006, 05:31 PM Operation Doomsday. That album is just... brilliant... it's hard to put it in words.
MM FOOD as a close runner up.
And I feel like I can include Endtroducing, even though he didn't rap on it, and it wasn't exactly hip hop.
And I'd also like to include Madvillainy, even though DOOM had most the lyrics on there.

Aktion 01-20-2006, 12:56 AM Great question...
Honestly, I could state that the solo album that I had produced is definately up there - Missin N' Aktion. I really like Gangstarr. Even Dre's production on Chronic 2000 was tyte. But for my dirty south heads i'd say JuicyJ with his group 3-6. Boy tyte is every way.
in_depth_music 01-20-2006, 01:04 AM uhm...when the new jzone/celph-titled collab album drops..i think that will be up there...
golden_era 01-20-2006, 12:00 PM Some people have missed what I said maybe I was unclear with the question. But it has to be a rapping producer i.e. the producer also raps on the album.
Good example: Gravediggaz - Niggamortis where Rza produces a lot of the album and also puts down some verses. Prince Paul while produces it does not rap and is therefore excluded.
..Dr.Dre: The Chronic 2001..EZ!
