I listen to about 70-80% Hip Hop.

Other than that I listen too Jazz most, soul and funk quite a bit too. Small amount of grime and DnB come through my speakers also.

So, what genres of music do you listen to? Post up you're favourite artists/groups too if you want. . .

Mostly Rap. I like 70s music too. Any of the old R&B, Motown, Soul, Funk (and Rock) - Cuz without them there would be no Hip Hop.

I like old school, 80s punk music.

It was conceived in the same way that hip hop was. Rebellious kids of the white community, sick of conforming and looking for an alternative, took a liking to punk just as rebellious kids of the black community, sick of conforming and looking for an alternative, took a liking to rap.

And similarly, the two genres were big in NYC back in the day, and the two genres eventually got whored out by record labels.

Underground Rap(Political/hardcore/horrorcore/experimental/metaphorical)
Hardcore/Metalcore

And Anything else I like.

What I listen to the most is, Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven. I like Frank Sinitra, and Anthony Hamilton. I also like 3 doors down, and Collective soul. I dont really like hip hop, to much ignorance. Like people who say 100% rap, thats just ignorant and excatly why I dont listen to it. When I do its either Talib Kweli, Common, Mos def, or someone of that nature.

For those who like Pink Floyd and have heard Dark Side of the Moon, I'm gonna upload a reggae version of the album by a group called Easy Star All Stars. It's one of the most innovative albums I've ever heard.

I don't listen to music to be taught or to learn something, sure it's a bonus if I do, but the most important thing is the music. Not the content.

Your seriously limiting the amount of music you can enjoy. . .

Then again I don't know what you think constitutes 'intelligent rap'. . .

Key Words : ENJOY

I Don't Enjoy The Others. I Do Not Choose To 'Not Like' The Others, It Just Doesn't Appeal To Me.

End Of Story.

I listen to music to which i can relate...emotional rap and r&b would be in the top playlist...rock, I would listen to some nu-metal like Linkin Park...
I can't stand hardrock, deadrock or anything like that, it's crazy to me...
Country music's too boring, it could bring me to sleep...
I also listen to some instrumental music, as long as it's gud...

I listen to pretty much anything as longing as it's good.

Rap/Hip Hop... Gangster Rap (NWA, MC Eiht, Biggie etc..), Underground Hip Hop (Necro, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks etc...), UK Hip Hop (Foreign Beggars, Jehst, Skinnyman etc...), Old School Hip Hop (Slick Rick, A Tribe Called Quest, Big Daddy Kane etc...), Funk/Soul Rap (De La Soul, Jurassic 5, Eric B etc...), Common Hip Hop (Nas, Jadakiss, Common etc...).

I listen to a lot Rock as well... Guns N Roses, Pink Floyd, The Kooks, The Killers, Oasis, Eric Clapton, Queen, The Doors, Sting and the Police, The Beatles, Stone Roses, The Verve, also love Bob Dylan and Bob Marley... I'm not really into heavy rock/grunge stuff, furthest I go and listen to that is Nirvana.

I like Hard House and Drum 'N' Base... Shy FX, Lisa Lashes, Paul Glazby, Mark EG, DJ Marky, M-Zone, Atlas, Ebony Dubsters and that stuff.

I like Dance, Techno and Trance as well... Prodigy, Faithless, Basement Jaxx, Kosheen, Stonebridge etc... It's all good shit.
