Just wanna recommend 'Fort Minor - The Rising Tied' and 'Fort Minor - We Major Mixtape' to anyone who likes real hip-hop. Creative, original and clever. This is a link to a page where you can download the mixtape. It features Styles Of Beyond, Lupe Fiasco, Apathy, Ghostface and others.

He's not the best rapper but he's still good. The main appeal though is that on 'The Rising Tied' he raps, wrote the raps, made the beats, played every instruments used in the beats (except the bongos on one track), produced it all, and did all the artwork. That's just pure talent IMO.

Yeah I basically have this board up to speed on Fort Minor. Been repping them since RTN dropped on the net. But it's good to see some more fans who appreciate real hip-hop.

On a side note, I'm meeting Fort Minor and Marc Ecko tommorow at Fort Lewis military base in Seattle. *Screams like a little school girl*

Fort Minor is a group, not a guy. The four main members are in my sig (last pic). But as far as lyrics go, some songs are better than others. Right Now isn't complex lyrically, but it's message is deep. It really depends on the song.

^^ is that true...i did some checks, then who's styles of beyond? i always thought styles of beyond were the people in your sig...

Yeah, three members of S.O.B. (Ryu, Tak and Cheapshot) are in my sig, in addition to Mike Shinoda. Together they make Fort Minor. Fort Minor is a group that basically consists of S.O.B. and Mike Shinoda and features: Common, John Legend, Lupe Fiasco, Holly Brook, Jonah Montraga, Kenna and Black Thought. Kinda confusing, but you should get the picture now. Also, if you haven't done so yet, download the We Major Mixtape and go buy The Rising Tied :p .

Sorry, but I think Fort Minor is just plain whack. I hate that song with the

"20% pleasure, 30% pain" or however it goes. Someone tell me their very best song.

harddrives are expensive, if i get one it'll be like 4 GB

that 10% , 20% song actually has a dope beat, lyrics might be whack, but that beat is ill

Okay, okay. Ease up, lol. See, I'm trying to give this group a chance. Just the fact that Mike Shinoda is in it makes me skeptical.

Mike is easily the weakest lyrically, but some of the others (especially S.O.B.) have some nice flow.

Yeah, Mike is the weakest lyrically (although better than a lot out there), but his talent goes way past actually rapping (read one of my earlier posts). The rest of them make up for what Mike lacks as a rapper. On the mixtape, I think Apathy adds another dimension aswell, he's got talent. If you haven't already, use the link I posted at the start of this thread to download the mixtape, you've got nothing to lose, and alot to gain.

Lame... Turns out FM was never scheduled to appear here... It was just Marc Ecko. *Slits wrists and goes to listen to Linkin Park*

j/k... Got to meet Marc Ecko, he's a pretty cool guy. We talked about FM for a minute, got two autographs and a picture.
