Argue the similaries between Fornication and Homosexuality


this is a paper topic i have. kinda got some ideas but lookin for some more points of view. i know alot of yall don't believe in christainity so what are your views. all views welcomed.

I really dont understand your topic. You're supposed to compare premarital sex to homosexuality; sex to sexual preference? I don't get it. Heterosexual couples have premarital sex too, so there'd be just as many similarities. . . not that it makes sense to compare the two anyway.

Both fornication and homosexuality are viewed by religions to be perverse sexual practices. Unfortunately, the failure of religion to instill moral beliefs into their followers has allowed such extra-marital and gay sex to become the norm.

The real question is not the similarity between fornication and homosexuality. Outside of religion their distinctions become far too apparent. The real question which must be asked is: What harm does each sexual practice represent for humanity? Both have a bad side.

The grave moral injustice homosexuality presents to humanity should make it clear that it is not to be judged with fornication.

Moral rules against fornication are designed to protect family structures and loyalty to spouses. They are designed to allow the priortarization of relationships and sexual practices. These were so necessary to the Christian faith, that Jesus, while giving his Sermon on the Mount, deliberately misdefined fornication. He said marrying a divorced woman was fornication.

Homosexuality, on the other hand, has the potential to end humanity. It is biologically true that two homosexuals cannot have a baby together. Homosexuality presents other social quandaries as well: Should homosexuals be allowed to adopt children? Should homosexuals be allowed to marry?

Many countries have now conceeded to homosexual demands. They have drafted and passed legislation allowing homosexual marriages and equal rights for gays. That is a reflection of the moral underpinnings of such societies.

Of course, there are some in society who believe fornication isn't immoral. In some ways I fit into this category. And there are some who believe that homsexuality is a moral practice. I do not fit in this grouping.

The ways in which fornication may occur are numerous. And not all of those ways are harmful to society. Every person who has pre-marital sex is a fornicator. Every person who has sex with somebody other than their wife/husband while separated is a fornicator. By Jesus' standards, anybody who even thought about doing such things is a fornicator. But what is very interesting about the dictionary definition is that the activity is defined by 'sexual intercourse'. The things society considers cheating today are not all covered by the definition of fornication.

no it doesn't. since the 1800s methods of conception without physical contact have been in practice. homosexuality is in no way deleterious to human kind, it's just kind of different. and on a different note, if you see two homosexuals on the street you can always think 'more of the opposite sex for me'... lol

AIDS is more common among heterosexuals, and they're also more susceptible to it. Oh and gay marriages are legal in some provinces and states.
