which car would you rather have a Subaru or a EVO?

evo, but idk why u guys are all so cocky about an evo, a subaru wrx sti would give an evo8 a run for its money any day any time, but an evo has a slight weight advantage- so it depends whatcha got in each...stock? evo cause of weight, suped up? drivers decide...

uhh the evo and the sti are almost the same car...i dont know if you guys read magazines but you should..they have so many articles about subaru vs evo. sometimes the evo comes the winner, sometimes the subie comes the winner..neither is really "faster" than the other...so you cant use that. (READ: car and driver or road and track)

but id take the sti, its look alot meaner, its alot less boxey, and its very very reliable for what it does. I think it has evo simply by looks. Also as far as Subaru the company, id rather have anything that subaru makes than anything mitsubishi makes..and plus mitsubishi is loosing alot of money every day. And another thing, i still see old sti's and wrx's from the 90's. I dont see any old school evo's driving around(if thats what they were even called back then)..though i did see one in this "stupides videos" show in a rally race, but who knows how old that was.

anyway, you can compare all you want, but the results will never equal the same car every time.

plus im saving my money to get one in june or july hopefully.

not really, i thought that, but the amount of Evo victories is quite tremendous, in fact i haven't yet seen the Subaru come out on top......Jeremy Clarkson said that it was "better, by a mile"

And right now i have about 5 different reviews in my head that i can post up....but yeah, they are close. In terms of purposefulness the Evo does better.

There are plenty of Evo 1, 2's and 3's on pistonheads....Can't find any Subaru's that old

mitsi wins no questions asked, i used to work at the docks with imported cars, and the suburu and the evos were quite popular when i was workin there.. the evo is a nicer drive, looks nicer and sounds nicer.. fair enough a suburu has its advantages but still no questions asked the evo wins hands down for me

Anyway, i sat in a brand new STI TYPE-UK (top of the range over here) and it has the most tacky interior trim with hideous blue seat covers and a cheap steering wheel....Overall really basic but not stylish :(

i like sti's alot but if i had to choose between the too i get an evo my friend just got a new one and its fast as shit

an old skool scooby is what u want, or maybe an old evo! but the new1s look shite, both the evo 8 (an 9 which looks the same!) and the new scooby look wank. save a packet on a new 1, buy an old scooby an soop it up to the max to piss on a new £25,000 evo easily with about 10-15k spent on the scooby! I'd rather buy a Supra twin turbo for around £10k and spend the other £5k maxing it out.

i was in agbrigg walking down doncaster road when i saw a type r an escort and a evo 8 racing past, funny thing was evo was behind both cars and they were going at atleast 90mph

I had a friend with a STI and I test drove a EVO....
The STI had more pull behind it and was a much funner ride.
of course it has 300 hp stock...

I would have to go with tha Subaru, for modification purposes only...cuz once u trick one of those out, it looks fine as hell and just demands respect out there if the aftermarket work is done properly...

i say subaru because u can be flyin down the road then go right on to a off road and still have controll, and plus their the racein type of car(subaru WRX STI)
