my bro gave me a psp today with fifa 2006.. i've been tryin to set up the internet settings, but everytime i test it it can't find an ip address or summat like that.. usually i'm pretty good with setting stuff like this up.. but can any of y'all help me out..

I can't help you out but I was having problems with something similar. But I just gave up cos I couldn't be arsed.

lol i gave up a few times so far.. it recognises my network.. but just won't connect.. checked out the website www.yourpsp.com for a tutorial on setting it up but still no luck

u mean the software version? if so its 2.5.. if not i think u mean the other thing which is psp-1003.. i think.. i had to use these to sign up on the site for a tutorial.. but was a waste of time

yeah router is literally next to me.. the thing i was confused about was a wep code or summat.. which i found on the back of my router, so now works fine.. tried coming on here with my psp but its a pisstake tryin to scroll thru stuff...

also... anyone know if i can get a messenger program on the psp?

nope,u can't do anything pretty much online,ecxept play a game,or web sites,and the web sites almost never come all the way up,unless u have a huge memory card

yeah you can more than that mate, theres a program you can use for your psp, it allows you control your pc from your psp, no matter where ever you are in the house, so you be on msn and on the toilet at the same time, i'll post it after i find it [about 10 minutes]

soz mate, i doubt you gonna get any kind of messenger program for a 2.5 plus its impossible to degrade, on the bright side you can still download games from www.pspiso.com thanx 2 aafister who found the website, he's in the red zone lol, you should rep him if the site helps you.

thanks mate, mine is version 2.60.. but i've found a few sites with hacks to downgrade it so i'll give it a try later
