This is the home of some of the worst gfx artist on the net? Seriously, theres some ok artist here but the best ones got to be the ones in 2Fingaz and Explosive Designz..

It just hit me because I was browsing some of the threads and some of the artists are horrible! No lie, I thank the ones in 2Fingaz and my crew and all of the ones that have experience with photoshop for actually keeping the Graphics Section up because of theyre hot ass drops.

I mean, some of them have elevated, but most of them just dont and it pisses me the fuck off when they ask for feed and when we tell them the truth, they get that pms attitude, and it gets me mad, if your gonna drop a sig that you know is bad, dont fuckin drop it asking for feed.

Believe me, there are much worse. I think this is your problem. You're going to other graphics sites. Graphics sites are filled with nerds, as is any computer related forum. So all they do is stupid ass fantasy design and gaming shit. Easy stuff until you actually get into the tech type of nerd design. I don't mean tech as in a couple lines put places and some numbers. I mean like metallic surfaces, cogs, gears, wires, etc... All that really takes is mastering texturing though.

Here's the point of this whole thing. They do one, maybe two types of design. All of which look exactly the same.

Then there's street design. Takes alot more, what I like to call, design instinct. With the same amount of skill involved.

That's because you had people like Me, Dimes, and Ell as mentors. They just have more nerds.

meh, dimes was round for abit. at the start. Arm helped me fuck loads.

I read tutorials and I got help from every good artist here.

Thats another thing, people dont wanna read tutorials for shit, thats why they suck hard ass.

i know that i suck compared to the top gfx heads here. i try to take advice and read tutorials and shit like that. just that some times they don't come out as expected. one thing i don't like is when someone leaves feed that isn't necessarily positive feed and ppl bitch about it. ALL of my sigs have had ups and downs for feed. but i don't go around PMing threatening comments and shit like that. but whatever. i think im elevating.

Yes you are, little by little, but your getting there, my advice is, try using ONLY brushes as backgrounds for a couple of sigs and see your outcome and work your way up (Its what Clusion & I did when we 1st started).

I mostly do 3D Designs with Bryce and Cinema 4D (http://coolplayer.deviantart.com) if you want to see. And also I do more abstract then grunge.. But I might start doing photomanipulations soon too.... And for the people that just suck.. remember.. you were like that before too :P

Meh... I got a friend who I do sigs and covers for and she pays me like 2 bucks for each cover or sig.. .So that's kinda like a career right..

Half the people who post here ask for feed, btu when they get it don't use it, and alot of people who post tell them whats wrong and whats good, We (including me) don't actually give them constructive critasism where they can use it, and apply it to their work, to improve. And the time you do, alot just ignore it, it don't really help when a noob drops something and we all just start gaving him shit how bad it is, we could all give constructive feed...then maybe they would elevate.

Plus IMO tutorials aint good things to follow, cause alot people have access to it, then y'all do the same shit...best thing to do is use a tutorial to find how to do something, and then mess around with it, and mix it up, and get your own unique style for that certain thing.

Lol none of them helped you since you started befor them..lol...i remember, you started a few weeks after i joined, or what i can remmeber.

funny thing is...ive read about 4 different tutorials to get to where i am...and those tutorials didn't have much to do with making sigs. it was more like putting images inside text. a bunch of stupid shit like that. but ive been reading more tutorials now.

This aint hate, its just what Ive seen, and I dont want you guys to take it personally, but from what Ive seen there are only a handful of GFXers on this site that are actually good... and then there are a lot of GFXers that think they are good... why do I say this, mainly cus a lot of you dont change your style or try anything different, I know this is a Hip Hop Forum so peeps do Hip Hop sigs, but you guys could at least post some different stuff in the grafics area, and Hip Hop Sigs in your signature. Im not saying that Im good or anything, but Ive been to a lot of GFX sites and there is some real talent out there.

There is also talent out here too, but some of y'all need to be modest and change your style a bit... I repeat, no hate, and I aint naming anyone... We all have our own style, but it needs to be elevated, and to elevate you must educate yourself with new knowledge and different skills.

Everyone is a nebie at some stage, and I think we have to encourage and help them to get better, and not just the Newbie's either.
