1. First, when you first freestyle, just spit anything that rhymes whether it makes sense or not. That way you learn how to put rhymes together. You can work your way up to spit some ill rhymes that make sense.

I think first you gotta learn to keep an amount of rhymes together,and try to work out how rhymes go.

Then,you gotta learn how to spit sum random shit,like my "Give It Back"s first verse,(the whole song makes sense,in fact)just do it.

Then,try to find a topic for yo flowz,like,"15 Men"about me wanting to try if 15 Men really fits in a dead man's chest,and if any more goes in too...

Slowly.Have faith in yoself.Always write.Never stop.Try hard.

Have punchlines for shit in your head...and set 'em up nicely usin' mulites...If you battlin' and you spot somethin' to crack on...think of that punch and just keep it in ya mind as you set the shit up with w/e...Feedin' is okay in live freestyle battles too...When it's improv ppl more impressed by direct ass shit, somethin' that hits right away in they mind...Like one time, I battled this kid who dressed all preppy or w/e at a party...and I said somethin' like:

~setup~ = *looks at audience* "Who the fuck this child think he battlin? *looks at opponent* "you's a grown baby I'll hurt you"
~punch~ = *looks at audience* "Tell me why I'm battlin' the Black Guy from the Old Navy Commercial!"

^That shit got laughs...True, and funny...setup was filler...

DO NOT ^ set up lines in your head just continue on and on, when you set ther leaves room for flaw and u just might fall off then give the other mc and oppritunity to rip you as far as a battle remain constant and ready for the next line logic people set you head straight also always finish what you start

Keep Saying Rhymes In Your Head Like Wiz Said But Master The Basic And Simple Words First Then Move On To Bigger And Much More Challenging Words.

Sometimes It Takes A While To Reconize Rhymes. Like For Instance The Other Day I Saw A Word Called "Fringe" And If You Can Say And Rhyme That Word Right It Will Be Able To Ryhme With Orange.

It All Depends On How You Say The Word Because Some Words Dont Rhyme And Somehow I Can Make Them Sound Like They Rhyme. 50 Cent Does It Alot Also.

There is no word in the English language that rhymes with Orange, but Eminems done it about 6 times, did you know?

Anyway, Ive only just started gettin good at freestylin so maybe my tips aint gunna help a lot, but here goes:

A) Complete concentration, if you're payin attention to the crowd or anythin else, you're gonna falter.. Likewise, once you spat a hot line dont ponder on that or congratulate yourself, keep flowin. Consistency is vital

B) DO have a basic idea of the content you wanna throw in, i.e. in battles look at clothing appearance where they live etc etc

C) Dont try over-doin yourself, I sumtimes push too many multis when it would be easier to just take a brath n start a new line

D) Dont try make the rhyme structure perfect, for example you could kick a rhyme like;

"I'll smash ya chest, when I throw lefts its no test
You rap for reps, I rap for more cheques n a
Pack of Becks, with a vast effect" (bullshit but w/eva)

E) Use your hands/body whatever to keep you aligned with the beat, I used to laugh at rappers when I was young cos of all the hand movement, but it helps the flow to no end, just helps you keep rhythm n hit beats

F) This is the part I struggled most with; Tryin to think ahead... Once you have the line you wanna say in your head you gotta be thinkin of what you wanna rhyme it with, thats essential but not always easy... But if you miss the beat you were supposed to land a multi on you can either land on a latter beat, or switch the multi, even if you fuck up just keep goin cos you can redeem yourself

G) There is no right n wrong way of freestyling, just go with what you're comfortable with, practice is the most essential part of being good at it

One of my most recent discoveries when rhyming, during a freestyle is one word to the next, the shyt flips nasty, plus you know exactly what youre talking about, the content is no filler plus you can flip seriously nasty, I mean even if your vocab aint that large this still works, and even open new windows to concepts, which mat require you to dust off a few vocab excells,

just continue on, make strong points, and the first two line conduct the rest of the rhyme, on the reak thought if you say somthing you did not plan on saying know what you said, and flip the inverse off that line then the logic will finish the rest, just in that third line come strong or you might feel ashamed

just practice, thats all..if you can write a rhyme, but cant free...just practice...thats everything

umm... i started out writing... trying to use a shit load of huge multis........................
then when i started to freestyle... i tried rhymin wit the big-ass multis... DON'T DO THAT!!!
makes ya look stupid... just say what your tryin to say and make the sentances rhyme...
try ending with common rhymes that you use all the time when writing.......................
if you keep writing and freestylin at the same time, you'll get better at spittin all together...
freestylin helps you to figure out how you wanna flow and what you wanna sound like...
writing helps you realize what rhymes and what to say when you freestyle.................
try writing small rhymes... then keep flowin after yopu finish the rhyme......................
stay on the same topic of course... but keep goin... it helps out ALOT.......................
a few years ago, all i did was write... i NEVER thought i'd be able to freestyle..............
shit... now i can go on forever... until i start repeating rhymes.................................
but sometimes ya know, that's good for ya too... with figuring out rhymes..................
and if you have the rhymes then it's easier for you to put shit together.....................
