The way I see it, we as mods rarely get any requests to close threads. The whole point of being a mod is to decide what the best thing is to do/how to handle a situation in the best means possible, without upsetting too many members. If a member wants a thread to be closed/deleted/checked by a mod, they shouldn't have to pay for it. That's what we're supposed to be doing anyway.

This system will get blown out of proportion and will just lead to silly arguments. For example, if a user paid 200 RW bucks to close someone elses thread simply because they don't like them.....

a) The person whose thread got closed will (understandably) be pissed off
b) The richer people on the site can just go around deleting/closing any threads that they choose
c) It will lead to numerous pm's being sent by unhappy members asking "why did this get closed" or "what happened to my thread". Do you really want to go through the process of telling them all individually who paid to close/delete their thread and why they did so? Do you really want to have to answer pm after pm about thread closing requests, thread complaints, problems with money transfer, what's happened to my money, who deleted my thread, How come you haven't closed my thread yet etc...

If you want to put up with all that, go ahead. But count me out of it

And it's funny to me because everyone says how bad of an idea it is but the fact of the matter is....it's not up for voting. I think Gen has made up his mind what he wants to do. If he loses his mod spot for continually doing it so be it, but you cant stop members from paying him, or him from touching threads.

and to set the record str8 this wasnt for my own personal benefit or for a personal vendetta against anyone, the money accumulated was gonna go into a drawing for members of the site, it wasnt for me to become richer, the money means shit to me, i'm giving over 10k in prize money to the topical tourny participants of my own not the rw banks... so for those that jumped down my throat w/o knowing wtf was actually gonna happen with it, go fuck urselves b.c i have still done way more for this site than 99% of the members have besides denz
