feed please :)
Imperium 05-10-2006, 11:36 AM I listen to alot of indie music, and just a bit of anything and everything really, good music is good music, whatever the genre.
HoBGoBLiN 05-10-2006, 11:50 AM ^^^Exactly what Imperium said
I don't follow any other genre like I follow rap, I just tend to like certain artists from a wide spectrum of genres.
An Irish singer called Christy Moore is one of my favourite artists of all time, doubt any of you have even heard of him but when you talk about songs with meaning it just doesn't get much deeper than this guy. Real political/social/historical material a lot of them time, just plain drunken stupidity at others. That's my heart and my heritage there
Not so much the Beatles but I admire John Lennons abilities (hence the sig).
Always been a fan of Nirvana since my cousin got me hooked on them in the early 90's, don't listen to them much anymore but they were a great band.
There's a helluva lot of 50's and 60's soul and blues that I like but no specific artists I'd care to mention, John Lee Hooker perhaps.
Bob Marley is a hero, was just listening to a Marley album to say as it happens, timeless chilling music.
Oasis first two albums (first two releases on Columbia, I should say) are still classics in my eyes, especially Definitely Maybe, hardly a bad track on there. Their recent shit is dogger though, wouldn't wipe my ass with their CD cover.
There's not much nowadays that really catches my ear, then again I don't listen to the radio or MTV or anything. Kasabian are fair rockin, Arctic Monkeys aren't bad but thats about it really.
S Dot. 05-10-2006, 11:58 AM i hate dance as you already know tone-z...in fact im just doin this post for the cash cuz you already now my type of music...
coldplay...oasis etc...99%rap though....ayeeeeeeeeee
Juice. 05-10-2006, 11:59 AM Im a huge fan of Issac Hayes-like funk...
HoBGoBLiN 05-10-2006, 12:01 PM I can't stand house/dance/trance/happy motherfuckin hardcore and all that bullshit... You do get the odd catchy tune, in fact no you don't it's just that you're so bollocksed you don't care what music you're dancing to. There are certain hard house tunes I like more out of nostalgia than anything else, remind me of the mad pill missions of the old days.. Brings a tear to me eye
Tone-Z™ 05-10-2006, 12:15 PM call me whatever i listen to dance/wigan pier ( dunno if any any non-british will know what this is, sorry) jus as much as rap.. oasis, coldplay and random songs on radio which i never heard or really, like tunes that are catchy..
:)
Linkin Park is aight, I liked there remix album ' Reanimation ' there was a lot of good shit on that, lots of hip hop retakes of their songs. Mike Shinoda is really talented as most of y'all know from the Fort Minor album. Most R n B really annoys me but sometimes a song comes along that I like. 97 % of the music on my iPod is Hip Hop and Rap though. Prodigy (the band) is alright as well
HoBGoBLiN 05-10-2006, 12:20 PM call me whatever i listen to dance/wigan pier ( dunno if any any non-british will know what this is, sorry) jus as much as rap.. oasis, coldplay and random songs on radio which i never heard or really, like tunes that are catchy..

My mates are all into the Wigan Pier stuff, you live in the North West right? I've been to Maximes once or twice but it wasn't for me, if there was no XTC on the menu I'd probably have strung myself up with my own intestine.
Ever heard of DJ Greeny DJ Bon Lee or the Bad Behaviour crew/label or whatever they call themselves??? They do a lot of clubs in Wigan Bolton Blackpool and surrounding area, mainly Blackpool. They're my mates, one of whom is the knob nosher who refuses to help me with recording my raps. The fool

I was when I was getting into music...
SomethingAwfl 05-10-2006, 05:35 PM All I listen to is rap but I am open minded and have listened to other genres but I'm not feelin much else. The only thing is the beats some rock songs have, such as Crazy Train, shit's just as ill as good HipHop beats. Once I go audio I'ma be spittin on semi-rock beats a lot
Dat Punk 05-10-2006, 05:36 PM I can see that Rap fans are a lil into rock
