Most things taught in school can be better learned outside the institution. With the exception of bad habits.

They are places which teach children and young adults how to lack creativity. They teach how not to be progressive.

Schools today are mentally-decrepit places. They are places of squalor for the gifted and intelligent. But, strangely, they seem to be heaven for the mediocre of us.

Worse still, some of those mediocre return to teach new generations of children and young people (who initially have much promise) to be mediocre as well.

It's not that important if you dont plan on going to college ..because you dont really need a diploma to get a job. People try and scare you to make you think you'll be a bum and that nobody will hire you without a diploma which isnt true. The only way you couldnt get a job is if you didnt have an address or phone number. Even then there are payphones so there is no reason even for bums to be unemployed. Cmon people people with no passports can get a job ...Now if you plan on going to college then yes it is very important. no college will let you in without a diploma or G.E.D. So it all really comes down to what you want to do with your life.

What must be understood is that seeking knowledge and going to school are not the same thing. You can seek knowledge in school, or out. The key to success is the never-ending quest for knowledge. It's the mentality that tells you that your life can only improve when you take the steps to improve it. When you get your lazy asses away from the addictive television set; and put your head in a book.

You read what interest you. And you realise that what interests you progressively broadens. You read more and more. And you seek knowledge on more and more subjects.

School to me is a 15 out of 10. I'm the first one in my family to go to college and I don't regret SHIT. The benefits of a higher education is too much to pass up. I've seen the struggle through my family of not having the right education, and that's my motivation.

high school in general came pretty easy to me. it wasnt hard at all and i had a good time, all honors and ap classes. im at Salisbury State University now and i mean its definitly a lot different than high school, mostly because the shit here is actual knowledge and the professors all have Doctorate's so its not a joke like high school was.

school isn't for everyone.....my deal is im too smart not to be in school...i made a 30 on my act when i was drunk as hell....maintained a 3.4 throughout high school and i didnt do shit ...i took 2 semesters of college then dropped out and got really deep in the streets...taught me a lot though....thank god i never got popped but im done with that shit....im starting back at the university of Louisiana at Lafayette in 13 days...majoring in psychology
