For those of you that dont know:
Multi-platinum selling emcee DMX, AKA Earl Simmons, was recently released from NY’s Rikers Island prison. Simmons reportedly was granted an early leave for "good behavior" and because he "accrued some credit for time spent previously in jail", according to a spokesperson for the Queens District Attorney.
Simmons plead guilty to reckless endangerment last year after being arrested for crashing his SUV into a gate at NY’s Kennedy Airport. Simmons supposedly impersonated a federal agent during the incident as well. He incurred two traffic citations following the incident, and was involved in a crash with an unmarked police car. Simmons was released December 30th 2005 and will now officially join Sony Music Group, after reportedly turning down an offer to join G-Unit, and parting ways with Def Jam Records following seven successful years. He cited a strain between him and label president Jay-Z as a reason for leaving. DMX’s latest effort, "Here We Go Again", was scheduled to be released by Def Jam last year, but never hit stores.
WHY HE GETS MAD PROPS: "after reportedly turning down an offer to join G-Unit"
Fuck mad props D
