i no wat u mean, i had a problem buying my camera, i dont reali no much about em n this advice might seem stupid n obvious but go into different shops, makea day of it! ask the people wat camera would suit you for wat ur gunna use it for, they mihgt be tryna sell u wat they want but they do know their stuff, that should help build an idea, then try the web for reviews on the camera's that he/she mentioned.
this reali helped me and now im happy with wat i've got, however i cant say i use it much :(

^^Yeah that's a good idea,
online you could try sites like http://www.kelkoo.co.uk/ for comparing prices to find the best deal...
I wouldn't know what to go for either, it's such a hard decision finding a camera... There's so many out there. I settled with a Fuji. There are some really nice Canon ones I'd prefer to have though...
Good luck! :)

I doubt the dude that made this thread is ever gonna make more than that one post, but www.cnet.com is good for that. They're not hardcore about that but I used them when getting a new computer and cell phone and mini-system

I spent close to $1500 on my camera, but I do everything from portrait to nature so something of that quality suited my needs. In your case though, if you plan to do nature solely I'd look into some of the Kodak EasyShare digital cameras; something with around 6 million pixels or higher (price permitting). I almost bought the Z650 - the zoom, shutter speed and resolution (above 6 mil I believe) are perfect for outdoor photography.
You don't need a very fast shutter for nature..the pixels and zoom are important to look at though. They will effect the outcome of your pictures.
