MEANING BEHIND DISS: In my opinion, this is the best diss Bis has done to Em yet. I recently looked into it, and most of it is a rebuttal to When The Music Stops. The newspapers line is referring to the rappers that mention bis in they songs and hes saying Em is one of the people that are hating on them. Then hes sayin that he cant believe Em is sayin he aint the illest. the 'grateful' lines are referring to Bis calling Em a stan and saying he should be grateful to the emcees that made music for Stan's like him. Then he talks about the original disses by Em in Role Model and Get You Mad and hes wondering why Em dissed him. The "said I wasnt Ill" line is referring to what Em said on that radio interview about bis not being ill (look back in the Dr. C Phd description) .. then he explains why he used Em's Stan character to diss him. He says that he doesnt know why Em is dissing him, but suspects that its to get credability back in the underground. The lines after that with "time that I quit" are again referring to the interview. "the rock of the game" is referring to himself as the best and the part about climbing referrs to him being stepped on by numerous emcees. He then says hes sicker than D12 (the sicker than your clique line) .. the Hollywood line is a rebuttal to When The Music Stops, saying NO CTHS was not a joke, but more of a view of my career through a Hollywood Biography. The last two lines mentioned are rebuttals to WTMS as well; saying that you shouldnt make a satire of my verse there cause mine is better, they'll remember that one line (battle you on the net, on the flesh) and know its better than your shit so Dont Fuck With Bis

hey, I've only skimmed through this thread so I'm not sure if anyone’s already mentioned this but if you read a couple of canibus interviews it's pretty obvious that the whole beef isn't that big of a deal.

i think that their flow and delivery is the only difference, that is the only thing em got ova him, and i say this becuase the flow and delivery of eminem is what appeals to the masses and is what draws the regular rap fan to listen to him. my personal proof is how my grandmother who is like in her mid 50s or 60s may hate the way his content and his curses but loves to listen to him spit, and thats becuase his flow and delivery is appealing.

Sorry, but Bis was worse than Em, overall. Look at the majority of his songs. They have no structure. They're just flirting with concepts for the purpose of self-glorification (or insight), leading on the others which are seemingly chosen because they rhyme with the former.

Eminem multis more on average and can do it more consistently. He also dedicates whole songs to particular ideas better. Just look at Stan and compare it to "U Didn't Care". Though "Bis vs. Rip", "Poet Laureate II" (I preferred it to the original), and a few others were ill, but they stood alone. Rip the Jacker (the album, not the song) was pretty decent, but suffered from it's lyrically sporadic, yet conceptually repetitive nature and lack of any focus.

Canibus was probably best in his battle era, despite the monotony of purism, because he had, and still has charisma, which has projected an image of greatness that exceeds that which his lyrics warrant.

Eminem's released more epic albums, at least in my opinion. They're both pretty damn good. But Em's better. Si?
