I need to know where there are any computer programs that can measure distances in miles..like how far B was from C in miles. Don't know if google earth does it..but it doesn't work on my pc...so anything else is good.

A little deformed birdy tells me that Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/) does the trick. Click on get directions and type in place B and then place C and like magic, it should tell you how many miles it is.

You've got to love the deformed birdies. =]

woo i just found out a calculator that translates miles into kilometers. Reason is that in the army, they expect you to run 1.5 miles which is 2.4 kilometers in 12:45 time limit. 1 mile is not even that much, right?

fuckin hell, my gf is in the terrortorial army and she has to run 2.5 miles instead, she's on leave at the moment though cuz expecting a baby, but before she got pregnant we both would go out for a mile run, a couple of times a week, so she could stay in shape which i found hard at first but it gets easier

Ahh territorial army, no wonder..cuz it's only at weekends so they make em work harder. Lol i bet ur legs killed when you first went.mine did but i guess it just takes longer for em to fatigue the more you run. g'luck on the baby.

yeah they killed for hours lol she'd go a couple of weekends, as she's on leave now, when she goes back she has to re-do an 8 day training course, a couple of days out on the field, the rest is stuff like drill time etc, thanks for the good luck, baby will be here by the end of the month

a medical combat technician or summat like that, once she's fully qualified she wants to sign up to the army for a few years and then she'd be travelling loads of places helpin out with the paramedics, she loves it out on the field, she said she shit herself the first time cause you get caught up in the moment as if its the real thing, but whenever she gets a letter with the dates she has to go in, the first thing she checks is if she's gonna be out on the field
