My favourite type of Jazz has got to be classical, can't beat Miles Davis. He was the king of originality. Psynyde 08-25-2006, 08:03 PM Thelonious Monk, by far one of the most amazing Jazz piano players ever and one of my fav Jazz musicians. along with Charlie Parker...and Louis Armstrong...amazing trumpet player Dirty Frank 08-25-2006, 08:06 PM ^ Yep, all part of the Jazz greatness... and don't forget John Coltrane... oh and Kenny Parker =] Psynyde 08-25-2006, 08:10 PM Coltrane could tear it up on a sax...I wish I could play saxaphone like that BoneStarr 08-25-2006, 08:27 PM Im a black man, so I don't listen to Rock Music... Dirty Frank 08-25-2006, 08:44 PM If i'm not listening to Rap/Hip-Hop i usually listen to R'n'B, Garage, Dancehall and some old school Dance tracks. Rapworlds biggest Chav. Handsdown BoneStarr 08-25-2006, 08:59 PM Dude, one of the greatest rock stars ever was black. Ever heard of Jimi Hendrix? Course you have... ;) Get the fuck outta my face with that shit, I knew someone was gonna quote me on that... Jimmy Hendrix was an artist that played the guitarr, he wasn't considered as just a rock artist, he was considered as more of a musician, but yes, Jimmy was into rock, but you have to admit that not many Black people listen to rock music Jane Doe 08-25-2006, 09:28 PM I listen to other genres more than rap, but I've always appreciated it just as much. I'm more into rock, jazz and classical. UKGrimeTakeOva 08-25-2006, 09:32 PM Rapworlds biggest Chav. Handsdown lol. Nah, i'm not a chav. I think chavs are dirt and i disagree that anyone who listens to the music i do is a chav. The reason i don't listen to rock or indie or any other genre is because it's never appealed to me, and not many of my friends listen to rock or indie so i only hear the corny stuff on radio (Mainly James Blunt or Queen) that put's me off anything that sounds like rock or indie. That type of music just doesn't appeal to me. But if i was a chav i would be honoured to have that title you gave me :) *Gets a baseball bat, walks down to local park, starts a new trend called ''Chav Massacring''* UKGrimeTakeOva 08-25-2006, 09:33 PM Soz about the double post Dras 08-25-2006, 09:52 PM Reggae/Dancehall. ........Jazz/Soul R&B Fav other artists when im getting fired up or wanna chill: T.O.K. Sizzla Wayne Wonder Buju Banton Gerogia Anne Green Curtis Mayfield Gene Harris John Arnold John Coltrane Miles Davis Sade Maxwell I would say "Damien Marley" but that makes me look like a prick being everyone knows Damien Marley that watches BET.Then they automatically say they listen to reggae when thats the only artist they can list. THEN the only song they know is "Jamrock" and "Road To Zion" Smh....lol Same thing with Jimi, I don't even know any of his songs, but since he is black people claim to listen to him and shit. So much stupidity....lol D^Coy 08-25-2006, 10:06 PM I listen to basically everything (even some country). Marching bands, classical, jazz, trance, techno, medolic, rnb, rock, rap/rock, industry, metal, new age, ethnic, etc etc etc... Jane Doe 08-26-2006, 01:33 AM What's so good about rock and idie? On the real tho I don't even know what Alternative music is. Why is this bullshit on Rap Worlds anyway? RAP Worlds. If you don't think rock or other music genres are significant enough to be on a rap board, you should consider looking into how rap and the hip hop culture as a whole came to be where it's at today. "On the real tho" . PAX DECEPTICVS 08-26-2006, 03:16 AM I don't listen to much outside of rap, really. I'll davle a little in other genres, but I'll only listen to the odd LP here and there. It's mainly EDM which I listen to most of out of the genre, but I can stand most things that aren't emo, country, trance, hardcore, punk, and "pop." And punjabi blend music is an enormous no no - most of the time it just comes off hella tacky. Imperium 08-26-2006, 11:56 PM Most different genres basically, Rock indie jazz soul....etc whatever floats my boat. ~Filosofical P~ 08-27-2006, 12:03 AM I you should consider looking into how rap and the hip hop culture as a whole came to be where it's at today. "On the real tho" . How?.......by out selling those other looney tunes? Struggling just to get 1 video on MTV, that claimed to be MUSIC televison.Your a smart ass huh?
