^ sorry to hear it

Yeah definatly check out other Reggae artists if you like reggae... for your second Reggae artist i'd recommend Matisyahu he's a Hasidic Jew who is an excellent reggae artist. but definatly just don't stop at Bob Marley...he's one of the best but there is other good shit out there.

^ thats incredibly close minded

how is it closed minded?

do you even know the roots of reggae? most of these artists out now aren't true reggae artists just cause they have a jamaican accent.

fuck outta here....Bob Marley is THE best hands down, no discussion.

I never disputed the fact the Bob Marley was he best, in fact i'm pretty sure I said just that in an earlier post. I'm just saying, if you like reggae you owe it to yourself to learn about other artists, I never said anything about Damien Marley or Sean Paul. Go listen to some Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, The Rastafarians, or Root Souljah. Also, just so you know Bob Marley's style was really more of a Reggae, Rock, R&B type style, Bob Marley And The Wailers were techniclly a Reggae-Rock Fusion band.

Scatch Perry and King Tubby are awesome.

Agreed! King Tubby is awesom in Dub, but no one seems to have mention Sly & Robbie, Barrington Levy, Culture, Dennis Brown, Horace Andy, Israel Vibration, Junior Murvin, U-Roy, they are all legends.

In Terms of Modern Dancehall and Ragga type music, its gotta be Vybz Kartel, Elephant Man, Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Wayne Marshall, Red Rat, Voice Mail, Capleton, Bounty Killer and Assassin
