are 'rage against the machine' any good. ive been told theyre 'rap-metal' but never heard any songs, and if i have i dont remember them. im not really as open minded as i should be to other genres but i like SOME linkin park stuff. are they good or are they just noise?

I love their older albums (The Battle of Los Angeles, RATM, Evil Empire), though their latest is good too. What really drew me to them was the cover of RATM, their first album. Overall they're just very upfront, insightful people..they're intelligent and have managed to incorporate politics, rap and rock without overdoing any element they've included in their music.

Will you enjoy them? Just depends on your taste I guess. They appeal to a large audience.

Guerilla Radio, Killing In the Name Of, Bombtrack are all timeless classics, and they never fell off, Renegades of Funk was dope too. But with the sound of your limited tolerance for other musical styles, you might not like them.
