I was scrolling through my music collection today and came across a lost classic...the Super Fly soundtrack picked up at a garage sale a few years back, in case you didn't know the Super Fly soundtrack was done completly by Curtis Mayfield, but it got me thinking about Funk...who here likes Funk?...and if so what bands, my personal favorites are the standards: Sly and The Family Stone, George Clinton and The Parliment Funkadelic, Earth Wind and Fire, The Commadores, Kool and The Gang, War. Sometimes I wish I was alive for the 70's.

There's little better than chilling on a Sunday with P-funk, Earth, Wind & Fire and a little bit of Lakeside.

since I found that Curtis Mayfield CD I've been on a Funk binge of sorts, my playlist in Winamp looks like a regular "who's who" of black 70's musicans, I think I might even have some KC And The Sunshine Band and the Doobie Brothers in there somewhere.

EDIT: That would be a definate YES on both counts
