K i came in the sports central for the very first time today, and i was gonna make a thread about this, but its already made, last night i was watchin tv and he comes on tv cryin, holding his wifes hand and claiming his innocence,
He was accused of adultry, (witch i think he admitted to cuz he said thats something me and my wife have to work out')
The next trial date is supposed to be held on Agust 6, 2003.
His arrest went public on June 6, and he got out of jail with a $25 000 bail. If he pleads guilty the minimum sentence would be 4 years to life (in canada life means 15 years, i dont know in us or i may be wrong :( ) The girl was a worker at the hotel he stayed in and she claimed he raped her in his room, i think she wants the money, but if this happens the lakers are in trouble :S. Anyway, thats all i know for now, heh most of it has been said, but mah 2 cents

Another point needs to be made--and this is the last one for now: THE DEFENDANT WILL BE PRECLUDED FROM HAVING A FAIR TRIAL. The nature the indictment takes on, the media publicity before trial will preclude there being an unbiased jury. Mix that with the dynamics of the United States when considering race and understand why black males shouldn't intermingle with white women in such lucrative ways.

To be blunt, having sex with women is dangerous in any regard; and the defendant made a drastic mistake in this regard.
