View Full Version : Rap politics, how do you rappers vote and why? How would you vote and why? CDJno1 09-22-2006, 02:57 PM I tend not to vote most of the time. CDJno1 09-22-2006, 03:00 PM I guess it depends on how it will affect the status of an artists life, and what reflective image they will get. Of course, their votes are private. B-Raff 09-22-2006, 04:28 PM i can't vote yet, but when i can i won't vote based on the party, i'll vote based on the person. fuck political parties swordfish 09-22-2006, 05:05 PM I'm no rapper but.. I agree with B-raff over here. You should vote based on the person you're voting for and not his/her party. Sykko 09-22-2006, 05:07 PM I think rappers vote based on current world situations. Anyway, I try to vote democratic because of the economy I grew up in. Of course, republicans equally do a good job for the people. Young Marlito 09-22-2006, 05:08 PM this is the most retarded thread ive ever seen but im rolling with the fuckin Democrats cause Bush is Tush and Chaney is......but condoleeza is a sexy bitch and id bone they hell out of her suit wearing manly leg ass B-Raff 09-23-2006, 12:16 AM chances are you know nothing about politics. the majority of bush bashers just do it because it's "cool" Omega Def One 09-23-2006, 12:18 AM i will never vote....ever....waste of time....my vote doesnt count any way..... B-Raff 09-23-2006, 12:30 AM 45% of the people in america agree with you. if that 45% showed up and voted, maybe we would have had a different outcome with the last election... who knows... Juice. 09-23-2006, 12:41 AM Rappers vote Democrat, pretty obvious why. While middle class/rich d-bags complain about comparatively low gas prices, black families are struggling to just pay housing bills. B-Raff 09-23-2006, 12:46 AM While middle class/rich d-bags complain about comparatively low gas prices, black families are struggling to just pay housing bills. amen to that. i heard in europe it's around $6/gallon. we're livin the high life in america Sadija 09-23-2006, 02:25 AM B-Raff is wise. Statistical data gets messed up because of 'one' who thinks it's a waste. Even though I'm not very supportive of voting, If two candidates are running 50/50, that one vote is considered the 'landslide'. Even if you think you are nobody, you are always one person, individual in someone elses eyes. Never underestimate the power or influence of one solitary person. swordfish 09-23-2006, 04:14 AM amen to that. i heard in europe it's around $6/gallon. we're livin the high life in america That sounds a bit expensive. According to the google calc. 1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters. And where I live 1 liter of gas is 11.45NoK, and that's $1.76 dollars. B-Raff 09-23-2006, 01:31 PM where do you live? the $6/gallon was in the netherlands i think, i dont remember swordfish 09-23-2006, 05:01 PM Norway.. CDJno1 09-23-2006, 05:10 PM What I wanna get an opinion on is how do world current events affect the decisions of major artist. Everybody responded to 9/11, but how do rappers respond to what's going on in Iraq/Iran? How do they react to Homeland Security and the DOD? B-Raff 09-23-2006, 09:04 PM i doubt half of em even know what's going on in the middle east. they were probably one of those idiots who didnt know 9/11 happened until they saw it on MTV Omega Def One 09-24-2006, 10:51 AM B-Raff is wise. I'm paranoid, so I think like this. Certain people sit in a room and tries to play 'God' with world current events. The presidency is staged. So, fuck what one vote can do, after 2004, I don't vote! Anyone care to change my mind??? B-Raff 09-24-2006, 07:19 PM That's fair and Sadija knows it. I'm paranoid, so I think like this. Anyone care to change my mind??? nope, i'll just let you sit in your room with your tin foil helmet on Sykko 09-24-2006, 09:18 PM Hey! That's aluminum foil!!!!!!! Got it??!!!! ALUMINUM!!!!!!!!! B-Raff 09-24-2006, 09:55 PM ...ok whoremoans 09-25-2006, 06:27 AM this has actually came out and is discussed alot, and the rappers who get big and famous tend to vote and support to a more right wing conservative (traditional republican) becasue it helps preserve their money. B-Raff 09-25-2006, 06:53 PM thats a very good point *rep*. in the liberal point of view, you tax the rich more so that you can work towards a classless society. when i think about it though, do i really want a classless society? i'm not saying there would be no point in life, but the whole drive to want to up your class would be gone whoremoans 09-26-2006, 02:25 AM in a classless society, i dont work 55 hours a week and barely make rent, while someone i work for works half that and is getting rich off me. swordfish 09-27-2006, 01:30 AM thats a very good point *rep*. in the liberal point of view, you tax the rich more so that you can work towards a classless society. when i think about it though, do i really want a classless society? i'm not saying there would be no point in life, but the whole drive to want to up your class would be gone I think the drive would still be there, you'd just have to pay more taxes when you get to the better class.... It's a good system though. The rich pay more taxes, the poor pay less. Makes sense, too. B-Raff 09-27-2006, 05:56 PM yeah definitely makes sense, otherwise it would just be survival of the fittest. i would just hope that there is enough money to go around. china is a classless society and pretty much everyone over there is poor. then again we have different economies so i'm not sure |
