I tend not to vote most of the time.

I guess it depends on how it will affect the status of an artists life, and what reflective image they will get. Of course, their votes are private.

I think rappers vote based on current world situations. Anyway, I try to vote democratic because of the economy I grew up in. Of course, republicans equally do a good job for the people.

Even though I'm not very supportive of voting, If two candidates are running 50/50, that one vote is considered the 'landslide'. Even if you think you are nobody, you are always one person, individual in someone elses eyes. Never underestimate the power or influence of one solitary person.

What I wanna get an opinion on is how do world current events affect the decisions of major artist. Everybody responded to 9/11, but how do rappers respond to what's going on in Iraq/Iran? How do they react to Homeland Security and the DOD?

this has actually came out and is discussed alot, and the rappers who get big and famous tend to vote and support to a more right wing conservative (traditional republican) becasue it helps preserve their money.

thats a very good point *rep*. in the liberal point of view, you tax the rich more so that you can work towards a classless society. when i think about it though, do i really want a classless society? i'm not saying there would be no point in life, but the whole drive to want to up your class would be gone

in a classless society, i dont work 55 hours a week and barely make rent, while someone i work for works half that and is getting rich off me.

I think the drive would still be there, you'd just have to pay more taxes when you get to the better class....
