.superman 10-11-2006, 02:12 PM Hendrix Lead Guitar.
John Dolmayan as Drummer. I cant be bothered to think about anybody else.
Tw!stEd 10-12-2006, 01:13 PM What is the obsession with Hendrix....

Kronologik 10-14-2006, 12:33 PM I'd have Jimmy Page ahead of Hendrix
feral 10-14-2006, 12:53 PM I don't know much about guitar ledgends, but of what I heard, Hendrix is quality.
HoBGoBLiN 10-14-2006, 01:19 PM George Formby is a must for the banjo
feral 10-14-2006, 01:22 PM That window cleaner song is the best. 'WHeeeeen I'm cleaning windaaas!'.

How can you have Steve Vai behind Hendrix...
Hendrix is the most overatted guitar player ever...
Shadowboxin' 10-14-2006, 08:46 PM How can you have Steve Vai behind Hendrix...

No, he isn't. Next time you want to take on a legend, get some facts to help your argument.
How is he overated? Because he's well known?
Tw!stEd 10-14-2006, 10:11 PM How is he overated? Because he's well known?
His overated because guitar music has moved on alot in the last 30 years...
Yes he did alot for guitar music, however it's like comparing a the Sugarhill gang to Wu-tang clan....
One is the evolution of the next....
To say Steve Hendrix is the greatest of all time is too ignore Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, Joe Satriani, Michael Angelo Batio, John Petrucci and all the other amaxing guitarists who constantly come up with new concepts ect...

Hendrix is the greatest. What's my argument?
Out of all those you listed, how many had the creativity Jimmi had? None. How many had the ingenuity of Hendrix? None. They might be technically better, but none of them touch Hendrix on his creativity or ingenuity. I would rather listen to "All Along the Watchtower" than almost anything Vai has done.
feral 10-15-2006, 11:09 AM Who the fuck's Steve Hendrix?
Tw!stEd 10-15-2006, 05:22 PM Sorry lol I was listening to Steve Vai at the time.

All the guitarists I named are creative, and take guitaring to new levels?
Especially people like Joe Satriani, and Michael Angelo Batio....

...And if you read my post closer, you'll see I said Jimmi's MORE creative/ingenuine(sp?). Yes, all those you listed are great guitarists, but again, they don't touch Hendrix.
Tw!stEd 10-15-2006, 05:37 PM Haha in my opinoin, I'd rather listen to them over him any day of the week...
Althoguh I'd rather listen to Michael Romeo of Symphony X over anyone...

^Man's got a grudge. Forcing his opinions on others like a Catholic...
Shut up.
Kronologik 10-17-2006, 08:21 PM Page > Hendrix
I love Hendrix, but personally think Page was a better guitarist
funk_M 10-17-2006, 08:32 PM I prefer Hendrix but it cannot be doubted that Page was fucking immense...plus page is more of a "team" player when it comes to a fantasy band line up
Kronologik 10-17-2006, 08:38 PM ^ Exactly my thoughts squire. Apart from the Hendrix being better bit of course
Feral 4 10-18-2006, 02:03 PM Lead vocalist - Sabastian Bach (Skid Row) [think that's his name...]
Lead Guitar - Jon Schaffer (Iced Earth)

Page > Hendrix
I love Hendrix, but personally think Page was a better guitarist
Page can't touch Hendrix. Hendrix>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Page.
DeFiction 10-21-2006, 05:54 PM Cuz he'd try to rape the whole band.

Shadowboxin' 10-21-2006, 09:35 PM Wow.. Hilarious.

Feral 4 10-23-2006, 05:18 AM Why's That?
