Anyway, you need to buy this album! Its amazing, a combanation of Jazz and hip hop beats. There are a few complete hip hop tracks, but also alot of plain Jazz tracks. Its very origional and the production is pure quality. This is an amazing album, go to amazon and read the reviews its an essential in my opinion. I'm not as keen on jazz pre 1960, so duke and monk aren't really my thing, but having said that I haven't really listened to them enough to make a real judgement. One of the reasons why i like Digable Planets so much. I'm vexed on which compilation i like best, John Coltranes a Love supreme, or Miles Davis' Kind of blue. I've got Live At Birdland, A Love Supreme, My Favourite Things, Coltrane's sound and Giant Steps and I love them all. How is Live at the Vanguard again, If I remember correctly its quite a late Coltrane album, so I'd imagine it would be quite 'free'. whats it like? thats his daughter. john coltrane was arguably the most gifted saxophonist ever...
