If you have 2gbs of RAM

Go to My computer

- view system information
(confirm that you have 2gbs of ram)

- click on the ADVANCED tab

- you should see PERFORMANCE listed below, click on SETTINGS

- under the PERFORMANCE OPTIONS tab click on ADVANCED

- at the bottom, click on CHANGE

- there should be a space for you to type some numbers
(one slot for Initial memory and Maxium memory)

[[U]b]WARNING, DO NOT CHANGE THESE SETTINGS IF YOU ARE NOT ABSOLUTLEY SURE IF YOU HAVE 2GBS OR NOT.[/B][U]

CHANGE THE INITIAL MEMORY (THE FIRST SLOT) TO 4000
CHANGE THE MAX MEMORY (THE SECOND SLOT) TO 8000

Lastly, click on SET and apply settings...or "ok"

This will allow your computer to run alot smoother, and cuts down on load up times. Dont be afraid if your computer starts up slow for the FIRST RESTART, some do and some dont. The brand spankin new computers I worked on in the precint didnt start up slowly, but some of the used ones did, however after the first restart, i saw results.

if you dont have 2gs, you suck monkey balls. :)

SmackPickles, so you work for the geek squad?.. cause i was thinking of applying there but i didnt know what type of qualifications i needed. I no enough about computers (i think) to work there. But really the only formal training ive had is A+ computer repair (in highschool so i dont know how much that counts for).. I was wondering if you need to be some supercomputer geek or w/e to work there, or do they train you.

Lol, if you've ever used any programming language, put different parts in your computer, messed with your registry, and/or created a dualboot, then yeah...it's pretty easy to get in. I had a chance, but my "bad history" was in effect :(.

lol yeh i put in an application, so maybe it could work idk, the thing about my A+ training is, that i never actually completed the course. Its not because it was to hard and i was failing, i had to drop the class because it was taking up 2 credit hours for only one credit, and i was a slacker in highschool so i need all the credits i could get. (Didnt even know if i was graduating till 5 mins before the ceremony, fucking Earth Science).
