so i like Korn's old original stuff...if you mean to tell me that linkin park are a better band then you're surely sorely mistaken..

plus because i like one band...it means i'm not allowed to dislike any others?

ok then.

Rage Against the Machine was simply brilliant!...
And I like rock just as much as hip-hop, often I even like it more... Music-taste changes with your mood and I personally think rock appeals to a much wider spectre of emotions than hip-hop (not saying hip-hop appeals to a narrow spectre of emotions though)...

Besides that is rock more easy to listen to, since you doesn't have to reflect much over the lyrics in contradiction to most hip-hop (in general)... Instead you can concentrate much more on the instrumental part...

I think that LP wrote far superior songs....

plus because i like one band...it means i'm not allowed to dislike any others?

ok then.
I never said that...
Ridiculing a band is one thing...
Ridiculing a band which is soo similar to the band you say influenced you the most (I've read tons of times how Korn gave ya inspiration) is just hypocracy...
I beleive that I have a far better taste in metal then this guy, however rather then go one by one through his choices, I just listed my own groups..

MCD
11-07-2006, 07:32 AM
lmao...LP wrote far superior songs?..alright then...

early korn songs were full of torment, sexual confusion and drug abuse..songs like Blind, Clown, Faget and Shoots and Ladders are all classics..and are still remembered 12 years on..

Linkin park songs are about hating your mum and dad because they made you do your homework...jumping on the nu metal bandwagon and making money from the sudden increase in angsty teenagers.

i mean..for example..the break in 'one step closer'.."shut up when i'm talking to you"..is a carbon copy of a korn break...so how can you say they wrote superior songs when they stole a formula?..

alright..they wrote a few decent pop anthems like "crawling" and the other one..i cant remember what it's called..but noone is gonna have heard of them in 10 years or so...i'd almost guarantee it...

even the technicality of the music isn't as good as Korn's was..

i'm not defending Korn's new stuff..cuz i dont like it myself...but meh...i really dont think you can even begin to compare Linkin Park to Early Korn.

Some metal is decent..I happen to like mudvayne..they are pretty extreme..depends on your tastes though. You have have biased opinions on everything. If you dont like mtal/Rock/Hiphop..state why..

I dont like hiphop because of the consistantcy of the same subject.Bitches,Ice,and Cars with spinning rims. Not very original people!..Some of the beats i hear nowadays associated with hiphop are corney finger snapping and hand clapping idiocy..From the shoulder lean to the cheesy ass rain dances.I think hiphop isnt what it used to be..wheres Public Enemy?..Wheres M.O.P?..Wheres that 96' mobb deep i used to hear?..Its fucked up

Seconded...

Basicly 3 genres of music reflect myself....
My politics is repesented by underground rap, grime, some hardcore punk/ and other metal bands...
My aggression is represented by Hardcore Rap and metal...
My chilled side is represented by some underground rap, prog metal, and some drum n bass/funky house.
My hyperness is represented by Drum/Drill n bass, Hardcore metal...

Music interlinks tons, I've heard Immortal Technique support the same views as punk bands...
Also everyone gonna like/hate diff things...
I'm not big on MF DOOM, although he has mad vocab talent, in the same way that alot of people wouldnt be big on some of the bands I'm into, although im sure they would appreciate the technical difficulty of the songs they play...
