Yeah you're not being very helpful. First thing I'd say is use the record button on whatever program you'rte using.

then u need a device for recording :)

what program do u use? and what type of mixer?

based on my knowledge ( i havent been producing/recording to long 10months) but you need a program... cakewalk, pro tools, ect..
try going to start and accer......... whatever and goto your sound recorder, try to record like that, it may only give you like 60 seconds but you know, why not

did the mixer come with a CD? if so did you properly install it? and what type of mixer connects via usb?

Easiest way is simply to plug your mixer directly into the imput port. It should work straight up.

why buy that? you plan on making beats ect as well? if u were gettin somethin just for recording..then get a pre amp, normal mixer...anything thats all in 1..is usually product wise average and like wise if u were wanting somethin to make beats..always better off buying separate products mate, now i cant see what any of the settings are, but for recording make sure the mixer source is pure..fine the right gain/level for the mic, always do the adjusting in shit like eq in cool edit during mixing down
