When I try to view flash content in Flash 9 or greater, it says it detects that my system only has Flash 8, and supplies me with an update link. I download the installation file, open it, install into the default folder, and it doesn't work after restarting both firefox and my computer. The problem may be that I installed it to the wrong place. Does anyone know what the folder should look like where I install flashplayer into?


As for quicktime, whenever I view a Myspace or whatever that has Quicktime Content in it, it gives me a popup saying "The Quicktime plugin requires the Quicktime extension 5 or later". I tried downloading and installing the latest Quicktime software, but the "extension" still hasn't updated. Any suggestions?



PS :: This is all on Firefox, if it makes any difference.

Quicktime problem solved. Still upping for Flash solution

Not too sure about the Flash problem, but I think the updates go into the Macromedia folder in Program Files.
