Dont know much about him .. You know the collaboration with Murs .. Is it any good? .. I heard the albums are just about girls . True?

I dont own them but Ive heard a couple of songs and no to answer your question.People just say that coz they say slug is emo just coz he add loads of emotion in his voice.Especially with MURS its not goin to be all about girls,coz he has a different style from slug.If your to ever check the atmosphere albums out I suggest the lucy ford EP(actually an LP),god loves ugly or overcast(when there was 2 MCs in atmosphere,slug and spawn).

Actually almost all the songs on both Felt albums are about girls.
MURS switches up his style to complement Slugs.

Eh...Hes like taking back sunday if they were MC's, I aint against positive rap even though its not my style, but hes flat out love/depressed, and alot of his songs are straight sleepers.

The purpose of the album was to dedicate it to a Movie Star (not a big name star, but someone hot) hoping that they would be able to fuck her. Ummm, according to their site (Well, atleast Slug's site rhymesayers.com) it hasn't worked yet.

Yeah, I would put him on my top 20. It's kinda funny about him cause he is like the most successful indie hip hop artist (possibly ever). I mean, he's sold over 3 million CDs and he is one of the few artists, indie or not, that you can go to Best Buy and they have his entire catalog (atleast the 2 Best Buys that I looked at). But still, a lot of people have never heard of him.

Personally I would say Lucy Ford is by far the best. Almost every song is kill. Fav songs are 2, 10, 14, 8. I also like Seven's Travels. I don't care for his newer shit as much. I think he started to target a indie rock crowd (last summer he played at Bonnaroo, plus most the people I know that listen to him aren't hip hop heads but indie rock). From Rhyme Sayers the best new shit they have is coming from Brother Ali. Boom Bap Project is pretty good too.

BTW - If you like that type of shit check out different artists from Minneapolis. There is a shit load of new talent that is real good coming out of there.

Slug is a great lyricist and puts lots of emotion into his songs.I think he still gets underrated.Hes defenetly in my top 20.

I am from St. paul MN and grew up in the hiphop culture of the Twin Cities with many mutual friends including Slug and his people, and he is genuinely a good dude. Talented but abstract from what people expect an emcee to be so he will never get full credit but He is in my top 20
