For me its MC search. Sure em has dropped some good albums but serch is a legend for his achievements.

After dropping some classic albums with 3rd bass (the cactus album, the catus revisted and derilicts of dialiect) he launched a solo career with the (for me) classic album Return of the product.

Serch also served as nas's manage and was a producer on Illmatic. He also helped O.C into the game getting him a record deal. Serch was also a member of non- phixion.

In my opinion serch owns em in terms of the quality of his albums, his work as a producer and his overall contribtuion to the rap game.

He wasn't part of Non-Phixion, he discovered them though along with Necro. If you read Non-Phix interviews and shit, when they're asked about Serch, these dudes have nothing but bad shit to say about him. How he fucked them so many times.

I like Serch though, I can't hate on anyone from Queens. ha!

^ my ban then. I was under the impression that he was a marginal mc in the group.

Anyway i hold by the fact that serch's conttribution to the rap game is more than ems. not hating on em he deserves the props, but serch derseerves more.

MC Serch ...

has class albums with 3rd Bass & by himself, he executive produced Illmatic and he has contributed more to hip hop ...

what has hip hop gained from Eminem ... a bunch of faggots called d12 & a few million pop rap listeners (no hate on the hip hop heads who like eminem that don't listen to pop rap)

I hate them both, but i'm leaning towards Serch, simply because he executive produced Illmatic.

Serch.

He and Pete Nice were the only guys who could act black and not seem corny. I really liked their music. They never touted themselves as "the white rappers". They just let the music speak for itself. I like Pete Nice a lot better by the way...

Reminds me of when I interned at Def Jam years ago and the resident wigger at that time MC Serch of Third Bass fame, when building with cats like the homies Bobitto and Curious would drop the “N” word in my fucking presence like it was nobody’s business. Had I had some clout then, I would have seriously checked dude, but I let that shit pass several times because, 1) I was green in the game 2) Russell Simmons, my boss, who always seemed to favor the jew cats around him didn’t seem to mind. He actually thought that shit was cool since Serch was his pet white boy of the day, and 3) I didn’t want to play out a scene from Dave Chappelle’s “When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong”.
I might have to turn around and say Eminem... or better yet, neither.

A lot of white rappers have had their moments of quasi-racisms. The Beastie Boys apparently opened up one of their very first gigs with a "What's up niggas!"

"Back To The Grill Again, The Grill Again"

"Finesse, keep a Tech-9 in my dresser
Lyrical professor, keep you under pressure
Mind like a computer, the inserter
Paragraphs of murder, the nightclub flirter
This is Nas, kid, you know how it runs
I'm waving automatic guns at nuns
Sticking up the preachers in the church, I'm a stone crook
Serial killer, who works by the phone book
For you I got a lot to shoot my songs in here
My rhymes are hotter than a prostitute with ghonnerea
On the mic I let vocabulary spill
(It's like that y'all) That y'all, kick em in the grill" - NaS
