Tom.B 01-04-2007, 01:24 PM just drop ma$e and they would be fine.....Cam, L and Gruf......that would be a sick crew Glenn Swagmire 01-04-2007, 01:32 PM Ma$e was nice back then when he was Murda Mase ... now he's a fuckin joke ... they all had good chemistry together as a group and all had good lyrics, mulitis, punchlines, flow and where good at storytelling ... Big L & Cam where the stand out rappers in the crew ... if Bloodshed, Big L & Biggie was alive Killa Cam would still be a beast on the mic ... Tom.B 01-04-2007, 01:38 PM ^^what u think of Gruffy? I always like his voice and flow...but his rhymes weren't the best....and mase was better as Mase Murda Glenn Swagmire 01-04-2007, 01:43 PM ^^^ co-sign ... McGruff lyrics weren't the best but he did have a good flow and he had a good presence on the mic ... Glenn Swagmire 01-04-2007, 04:03 PM ...... The Children of the Corn started out as neighborhood friends. All Harlem based rappers, the group included: Murda Mase a.k.a. Mase, Killa Kam a.k.a. Cam’ron and Bloodshed. Big L made the group, as he pushed Mase and Cam out of the streets and into the studio. Bloodshed was Cam’s cousin and was, like mentioned before, a Harlem kid. All four had lyrical talent. They released over 30 songs under their Children of the Corn name, as they tried for a deal. They got paid anyway they could, rhyming for local DJ’s and selling tapes out of a trunk were just a few ways. Although very close to a deal, Mase and Cam left the group to pursue basketball careers, later Mase would sign with Puffy and become part of Bad Boy. Now he’s devoting his life to God. As for Cam, he went through college and was ready to get a deal with L and Bloodshed, but tragically it wouldn’t be like that. Bloodshed was killed in a car accident in Harlem, which basically split the group. Big L went on to get a deal with Columbia and released his debut album. As for Cam’ron, he got himself a deal and has released a few albums. What could be arguably be one of the best East Coast groups of the early 90’s was never brought to surface. Big L stayed true to his underground roots, as for Mase, well Puffy says it all, and Cam, is still doing it big. Without those costly misfortunes, which they tried to overcome, C.O.C. could well have been, in my opinion, one of the best groups, there was definitely no shortage of talent. To me, back then Mase always sounded kinda like AZ. a pity dudes sell sell themselves short for a few bucs.. exactly ... Cam can be a fuckin monster when he wants to be ... just shows you what happens when you get money ... you loose the hunger ... if you listen to Cam & Ma$e now from back in their C.O.C. days it's like 2 diffrent rappers ... Gold. 01-04-2007, 05:14 PM Yea I have that album, so fuckin amazing. Mase was dope his flow was much better back then. Its a shame Diddy exists :( This is what also made Cam'ron a legend fuck what you say Pen To Paper 01-04-2007, 08:24 PM Would be dope if that crew was still around. Big L would be the head. A lot of people saying drop Mase but I reckon Mase was spitting pretty good back so he probably still got some of that old style in him. Similar story with Cam.
