After being put on hold by Interscope for well over a year with his sophomore project Time is Money, the Yonkers rapper, Styles P has been released from his contract by the mighty Interscope. The Lox however stillremain under the Interscope umbrella.

While waiting for 'Time is Money' to hit shelves, Styles P was constantly recording music and 'his next solo album is expected to hit shelves in April on an independent label' said the rappers publicist.

Styles is recovering from a recent road rage incident which occurred in Westchester and resulted in the rapper starting the New Year with a broken leg.

the last Sourcue issue has an articl on indie lables like stones throw, rhymesayers, ice cubes' heaveyweight. it seems like its better to be on an independent lable anyway as far as freedom and money is concerned. youu aint gotta worry about being shelved or on anyones back burner.

Styles P + 50 Cent + West Coast beats = not a good mixture.

yeah notice how ppl who dont mix wit 50 are gettin shifted around interscope ... hmmmmmmmmmm :)
