He's an artist fromt the ATL, he's had some of the best shit ive herd from that region....He's a pioneer of the original ATL crunk sound b4
it got commericialized as a mothafucka....He blends religious tones with street/agreesion/pain shit on his albums
These albums

.ScottishHead 01-18-2007, 10:27 PM I think he sucks man,not heard much of him though.
I dont like his whole religious/agressive style.
Ama-gi 01-18-2007, 10:29 PM Vice Verca= CLASSIC SONG
...I don't listen to much of him. However, he is one of the first artists I did listen to, so his music brings back a lot of memories. I always tell muh'fuckas he's the Godfather of crunk, yet it's not the bullshit crunk music you hear on the frequenices. I'd like to get into his music, more.
southpole 01-18-2007, 10:38 PM I like his music,
especially when i find it screwed and chopped.
D Wood 01-19-2007, 12:09 AM love p troy....he was layin it down for the south before this radio bullshit...hes live...not the greatest from the south but one of my faves
Alan Johnson 01-19-2007, 12:14 AM eh not that great
Florida Breeze 01-19-2007, 01:41 AM He's a pioneer. He never went mainstream, but MTV actually ranked him in the Top 25 Southern Emcees on some special a year or two ago.
Pastor Troy's done a lot of good collaborations with Southern artists!

Agree with what this man says here.
Not because he is next to me and all. But because that's my exact thoughts.
"KingSolomDin" 01-19-2007, 09:19 AM i have his second album in my cd shelf somewhere. he's cool. i like the production on it.
i know he was an originator of crunk, and I did get one of his albums but I didnt like it that much, not really my style.
Tom.B 01-19-2007, 02:01 PM Not a big fan, but your right, he could be the originator of Crunk. He was putting out wack music way before the rest of the wack crunk artist, so i guess he is some what original.

Late Night Tip?
Listen to mystic stylez, the end and World domination. They came up with the term crunk even on their first album that came out in '04.
The lil jon shit that you're hearing is the commercialized crunk, even on the lil jon albums, there is slow songs.
And late night tip chopped and screwed is amazin.
They mixed, crunk, horrorcore and gangsta rap together.

I know the difference between the commercialized shit and the original....
Three six had albums out way before '04.
I like Late Night Tip and a lot of their older shit. I just wouldn't categorize it as Crunk. It's more Horrorcore/Gangsta like you said.
Florida Breeze 01-19-2007, 04:23 PM DRAQUO is right about that. Besides, CRUNK music has been out for a loooooooonnnnng time! I've been hearing that shit since 97, 98. The Ying Yang Twins..."WHISTLE WHILE YOU TWERK!"
BigQ! 01-19-2007, 05:29 PM Been meaning to check out more Pastor Troy but always forget, I got the Kings of Crunk CD and he tears that "Throw It Up" song up.
X-NINE 01-19-2007, 09:50 PM Well not only did Three 6 imo REALLY pioneer some of it, we got MEMPHIS as a whole to really thank....If it werent for memphis, there would be no crunk.....The shit Three 6 was doin bak then was on some horrorcore gangsta shit.....But yea alotta folks think crunk was JUST made up when it's been made for over a damn decade.....
PT is the best crunk artist of the ATL, not Lil Jon
