sparknotes??? It has summaries and analysis of each chapter. It also has stuff like themes, motifs, and character research.

It's all about efficiency. The dude is probably gonna have to write an essay about it. That can easily be done by watching the DVD which will take 2 hours and then filling the obvious gaps with his own general knowledge from that period. It's all about beating the system. :shifty:

1. Wait, you're reading this book now?!? I read that in my first year of Middle School. This is why I've lost faith in the educational system of this country..

2. Denz's idea is the most efficient. The movie, as boring as it is, will provide the same visuals & relatively similar underlyin' idiosyncacies you'd get by reading.. all in a much shorter amount of time (soley dependent on the rate you read)..

The film is no way near as great as the book. And, I persume, the film won't have all of the important metaphors and descriptions that are in the book OR they will be there but not as noticable.

..I think that may explain it. I watched the movie after I read it so I knew what to look for, but if he's just reading it for the sake of an assignment and not for edification, then I don't think he cares too much..

Thats b/c ur 14 and u didnt take time to use LOGIC and figure it out.

Go shoot urself. Thats a great book. Anybody who is over 11 should have no prob reading it. It uses obvious vocab, its not difficult to understand
