well, you should start simple, simple means that you should make letters like the ones on your keyboard, and for colouring/outline i suggest you to use a pencil and then you outline what you've done by pencil with a pen,and for colouring use pencils/markers or anything that you like. And good luck

thanks for the advice rep's
you need to make sure that you dont scribble the lines, meaning good clean lines (unless it is meant to look like that). It just cleans up the piece as a whole and makes it look a lot better.
The cracks that you did on the letters is a very nice idea and if done a bit cleaner would look really good.
The more you do sketches the better you become so keep trying different words, colour schemes, letter styles, backgrounds and 3D and gradually you become better.

first of all....
i think that this is aight...not great but atleast your tryin graf and thats what its all about imo...you should make your lines cleaner...there are styles were you can do somethin like this but they are pretty hard to get perfected without knowing how to do basic styles first......as i stated to aomeone else before your joint needs to have a certain flow to it...and the s totally takes away from the flow imo...i like the concept that you had but i think that when it came to puttin it on paper it got muffled...but just start off with a single line of flowyness lol.....and then manipulate your letters to follow and then try different things with the letter styles and look around the net from places with graf...actually look around here at the tuts i have done and things of that nature........
