went for something simple took all your advice in and i no its not complex's but i gotta start simple so here it is...

Yeah keep at it man, try to start with smaller sized sketches and keep your letter thickness even and proportional. Try something a bit more complex after a few more.

first of all....
i think that you have the basic idea....but you need t realize there are no rules in graf but there are certain things that people look forward to seeing when they look at it.....and thats creativity....there are no real probs with this other than the a is too interfered with imo....it needs to be more seen not legible but at least let the viewer see that its a separate letter in there so that they can decypher it ......

^^^damn u did it again....all i can say is start with outlines....concentrate on that and your letter styles for the most part...when you get taht...then start droppping shades and shadows......or if your like me and don't use them much...just get you a sepereater line......then start on making letter styles taht are more complex...when you get his u are on your way...now with paint...much harder...gotta get can control and run control and all that....so have fun reps this post...onezzzzzzzzzzz
