Why do you all think he never really hit it big?
As I've said before, I think he laid down the best rap verse ever on Triumph, but his solo albums didn't really go anywhere.
Why? And do you think he could make a comeback?

He's got no personality. Think about it. Meth and Ghost clearly are the most successful and they both have the most swagger and the most mic presence of the group. No?
Personally, I think Deck sounds generic. When I was first getting into Wu-Tang, I would never be like "oh yeah, that's Deck, Deck is spitting right now". But when Ghost came on... forget about it. It was a big deal when it was Ghost's turn to spit.

Yeah, but people I've talked to agree his verse on Triumph is the best rap verse ever. You don't think he has potential to be on top?

Inspectah Deck is 1 the most underrated lyricists ever
i think he's the best lyrically in wu-tang
and he had a good solo album in Uncontrolled Substance but no1 gives it recognition

I think that he is just outshined (personality wise) by most of the group. That verse in Triumph though is simply the best.

You can't say that he has better lyrics than the GZA.

Exactly the opposite for me. Ghost is a great rapper but for me he isn't THAT exciting compared to ins. like when ins starts off on triumph, its so good that even though the rest of the song is good it seems to down a level as soon as ins stops. Same with the gillotine song. And plenty of others.
Imo he has the best flow and sounds the most exciting.
